They do look good, but how many RTC livery coaches do I need? I already have some MK1's, a CCT van and an RTC class 24.
No RTC Class 50???

I will be aiming for a Green one.
Lined green limited edition with flying snail logo? I'd buy one!
Was it you who said that the pricing was going to be around €250 per loco, or am I confused?
Does anybody here who has Paddy's ear know what the spec will be, regarding decoder access etc?
Will existing 201 decoders work in the new batch? Would seem a bit mad if they didn't, as there'd be a lot of confusion further down the line.

Excellent pictures DJ D - I'm so envious of the sun kissed mountains and warmth of where you live - its like late November here (Dublin), rained all day, dark and miserable !

Not happy!!!
I know how to make it up to you!
Book yourself some flights, bring about a thousand "No Smoking" signs and I'll allow you apply them to all of my coaching stock.

Looking closely at the West Coast Mk2's, and all I can say is WOW!
Best thing is that our very own @Rob is out of a job - the windows already have "No Smoking" signs!
There's even a booklet included on the couplings as there are so many different options!

That co-op green looks very similar to the Consent green that used to flood the Irish container liners!
Wonder if the lettering can be removed with a cocktail stick?

And, amazingly, these babies were briefly in stock again today and I nabbed two!

Had to use an Irish address because of the shipping glitch, but what the Hell, they're worth the extra hassle and taxes!

Eleanor has to be one of the sexiest movie cars of all time!
This is the 1:18 1967 Ford Mustang from Greenlight, based on the Eleanor from the 2000 remake of "Gone in Sixty Seconds".

Are there three Mk3's at Moyasta, or just the Mk3 DVT?
@gm171 kk uploaded a great video of the Mk3 move to YouTube a few years back:
And @thewanderer posted some pics of the move in their own thread, here:

A few other Moyasta / West Clare Railway threads here that could maybe be combined, @BosKonay?

Thanks lads. All clear now. @DJ Dangerous, your reply was lovely and concise, whereas @Broithe yours was very informative. @jhb171achill is a mine of information isn't he? Thanks again to the both of you . So I now know my black and tans from my supertrains. Prob won't ever go down the IE or IR route. Hmmm, I still don't know what tippex is though. And don't start off with stationery products.
"Tippex" livery is what you call both IR and IE when you're eyesight deteriorates to the point that you can't read the IR and IE logos.

Could someone explain to the slower among us (me) what tippex livery is please? Also when talking about supertrain livery I took this to be black and tan. So what are the black, white and tan called?. 185 for example Ok I just checked pre orders and 185 is described as black and tan, although there is also white on it. Baffled
In short...
Black and tan:
Supertrain:
IR:
IE:

We maintain an excellent relationship with our factories, don’t use any ‘agents’ or ‘middlemen’, have staff on the ground and in Hong Kong who work for us and order in our spares and warranty parts as a separate transaction with the factory. There are also no ‘seconds’ as any mess ups in painting or printing are immediately destroyed and recycled or any bad parts are never used for assembly in the first place. In one case in 9 years a factory overproduced slightly due to an error but we were duly informed and simply bought the overrun.
It sounds like IRM have invested a lot in a very secure infrastructure, if that's the correct word for it.
Maybe Murphy Models are not in a position to create such secure systems, but as @DiveController so eloquently put it, threatening their own client base as a result, probably isn't the nicest way of dealing with the fallout.
There must be a solution out there!

Out of curiosity, who else on the forum is chipping in with a bit of manual labour?

Lovely shots, @ttc0169, and very attractive models, too!
Shame those two fellows melted into the shadows, they did some good work at times.
Your lighting is excellent, and I love the concrete surfaces.
I'll let you off with a warning over missing your Friday deadline, in light of the high quality of your output.

Once he doesn't confuse people by announcing it on April 1st.
Any of our resident livery-editing genii who can slap IRM's A42 and A46 liveries onto 201's so we can compare???
