Model Railway Emporium tend to over-expose and over-saturate their photos, so it’s hard to tell whether they’re closer to RTC than NIR. Chris’s models were usually quite good ln colour - at one stage it was @tonto.irl doing his repaints - so hopefully they’re more maroon than red. €255 for four is not a bad price, all things considered.

Fourteen of the sixteen Park Royals, including the four green models, now available from Mark’s Models at €89 each: http://www.marksmodels.com/?cid=51 Hunslets also available for €262 / €380 each.

Only two variants left in stock: https://www.accurascale.ie/products/park-royal-d-176-suburban-no-1407tl https://www.accurascale.ie/products/park-royal-d-176-suburban-no-1409tl Talk about selling fast.

Theh must be, as only seven went live, all black and orange variants. I guess they were quite rare - 4 of the 16 variants are green, the rest black and orange.

That’s nothing compared to how a lot of my parcels arrive. Decent void-fill packaging is also very important. If the 071’s and Park Royals are anything to go by, €500 plus.

@21mmp4 has some nice photos and videos showing re-gauged stock running on Nenagh head-on, and it really helps to illustrate the difference: Obviously not Park Royals, it’s just to see the difference.

Down to the last 13… Hopefully mine haven’t gone back into stock!
-
TSO’s all gone a few hours ago, and FK’s running low. I hope that some of them have gone to Irish homes!
-
Mk2 coaches now listed! €141 per coach. https://heljan.com/collections/mk-2-coaches Absolutely incredible price for what they are. Flying off the shelves, you can almost count the stock levels diminishing in real time.

That’s the most important bit covered.

Aw, that’s a shame. Are the bogies wide enough for longer axles if they can be sourced?
-
I’m confused on the axles being too short for 21mm conversion. The original post said 28mm axles:

Maybe they’re just insanely popular, and every time you list a case, they sell out in seconds. Maybe there’s an underground global RPSI mug finder movement, like the PS5 hunters back in 2021. It’s all just a big conspiracy! Five mugs like five points on a pentagon!

Irish Footbridge - Expression of Interest
DJ Dangerous replied to RobertRoche's topic in Irish Models
Probably a one man band or small operation selling on eBay. Never heard of them before but that footbridge looks nice. -

The perfect box is always goong to be subjective. Some will find it too small and some will find it too large. Some will find it too tight to pop the loco in and out or get their fat fingers into. Some will find it too too loose. Look at the MM 201 boxes, with the locos often tearing through the protective plastic. Personally, I find the A/S / IRM packaging a little on the large side, but with the way couriers are dropkicking stuff around, it’s hard to know what’s best. Heljan 47 arrived in perfect condition and the box is way smaller. Several A Classes arrives with slipping drive shafts and grinding gears, yet the boxes were massive. The way the O Gauge locos are screwed to a plinth inside the box is probably the way to go. Allows for smaller boxes but gives ample protection.

The whole digital sculpting concept is mind-boggling. Amazing to see how it works. And that mill is a beast!
-
Wonderful and uncluttered, just right.
-
Lovely, @ttc0169. You really show how IRM have no excuse to not release an O Gauge C Class - they’re so small and versatile. On the list once their O Gauge 071 arrives for sure.

“Well observed” is mentioned several times and seems so apt for this masterpiece.
