  1. Honestly, they are so detailed that they pass for O Gauge.
  2. I know how to make it up to you! Book yourself some flights, bring about a thousand "No Smoking" signs and I'll allow you apply them to all of my coaching stock.
  3. A few daylight pictures of Eleanor before it gets dark - probably only fifteen minutes before sunset.
  4. I believe so.
  5. This bundle of joy was also delivered today, finally. These look exquisite, I desperately need somewhere to run some trains!
  6. Looking closely at the West Coast Mk2's, and all I can say is WOW! Best thing is that our very own @Rob is out of a job - the windows already have "No Smoking" signs! There's even a booklet included on the couplings as there are so many different options!
  7. That co-op green looks very similar to the Consent green that used to flood the Irish container liners! Wonder if the lettering can be removed with a cocktail stick?
  8. And, amazingly, these babies were briefly in stock again today and I nabbed two! https://www.accurascale.com/collections/mark-2-coaches/products/derby-rtc-test-service-vehicles Had to use an Irish address because of the shipping glitch, but what the Hell, they're worth the extra hassle and taxes!
  9. West Coast Mk2's arrived today! Lovely lovely coaches at first glance.
  10. Eleanor has to be one of the sexiest movie cars of all time! This is the 1:18 1967 Ford Mustang from Greenlight, based on the Eleanor from the 2000 remake of "Gone in Sixty Seconds". https://cochesdemetal.es/1967-shelby-gt-500e-eleanor-60-segundos-gris-negro-118-greenlight-12909
  11. Are there three Mk3's at Moyasta, or just the Mk3 DVT? @gm171 kk uploaded a great video of the Mk3 move to YouTube a few years back: And @thewanderer posted some pics of the move in their own thread, here: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/3576-mk3s-to-the-west-clare-railway A few other Moyasta / West Clare Railway threads here that could maybe be combined, @BosKonay? https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/5653-west-clare-railway https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/15407-what-happened-to-the-west-clare
  12. "Tippex" livery is what you call both IR and IE when you're eyesight deteriorates to the point that you can't read the IR and IE logos.
  13. In short... Black and tan: Supertrain: IR: IE: Enjoy!
  14. It sounds like IRM have invested a lot in a very secure infrastructure, if that's the correct word for it. Maybe Murphy Models are not in a position to create such secure systems, but as @DiveController so eloquently put it, threatening their own client base as a result, probably isn't the nicest way of dealing with the fallout. There must be a solution out there!
  15. Fairly hammering along! That HST sounds totally flat out.
  16. Found it! You're up s**t creek without a paddle!
  17. Every week, more and more achieved! Out of curiosity, who else on the forum is chipping in with a bit of manual labour?
  18. Lovely shots, @ttc0169, and very attractive models, too! Shame those two fellows melted into the shadows, they did some good work at times. Your lighting is excellent, and I love the concrete surfaces. I'll let you off with a warning over missing your Friday deadline, in light of the high quality of your output.
  19. Damn, that looks so good!
  20. Surely he already has that to cover warranty jobs? If they are unnecessary and / or don't sell over the course of the warranty period, he can bin them himself, and knows that nobody can put the stuff up for sale.
  21. Uffff! The ferry from here up to Spain takes about two days, and the drive through Spain itself to get to Bilbao / Santander etc is another day, plus the same three days to get back home again! Appreciate the offer, though, @Georgeconna! Going back to the airport connectivity, I always felt, even as a kid looking at the maps, that a line heading south out of Connolly, then looping around to head north towards the airport, either over or under the city, would have been a great idea. Probably not feasable nowadays, costs are so high and the city is so built-up. Would have been a great investment back in the day, allowing trains run from anywhere in the south of the country via Hueston and Connolly, or the north via Connolly, get to the airport.
  22. How do IRM avoid this happening with their products? As an aside, would it be a good idea in future for Murphy Models to collect any seconds unfit for sale, and strip them for parts for warranty jobs? I'm sure people would buy the parts from Paddy, bodies, chassis, bogies, motors, PCB's, you name it. It would stop this from happening, and bring in more money / reduce costs for Murphy Models. Was that downvote for me or for Dapol, @BosKonay?
  23. I think that it was the Cravens that were over-produced in very small quantities, stored for a few years to age them, then sold via a retailer in Madrid. The current 121's, I think it was @Westcorkrailway who confirmed with Paddy, were not over-produced but were seconds not fit for sale.
  24. I can't wait for fast ferries direct between Ireland and Las Canarias. That will be the epitome of human evolution. And, IRM can send my stuff by truck! Back on topic, what are the current breakdowns of traffic flows to and from Dublin airport, geographically speaking? That would be a good indicator of where does and doesn't need stops and lines.
  25. Are the OO Works locos in general DCC ready?
