  1. LA Style ooh na na, that's the stuff! Have my work cut out for me whenever I do sit down to it...
  2. Hi All. What sources do members recommend for spare wing mirrors? Many, if not most, of the trucks and buses that I track down, tend to arrive with missing / damaged mirrors. The DFDS Scania R Topline arrived minus one mirror altogether, with the other broken into two seperate pieces, loose in the packaging. I glued the mirror back together and reattached it, but like many of my trucks, it's still missing a mirror. Likewise with my buses. A lot of the Irish buses that I've tracked down are missing one of both mirrors. I have already sent an email to Oxford, asking them. Any help would be much appreciated!
  3. ...and buy a mansion and a Porsche.
  4. That trackwork alone is something else!
  5. Was it white trains running in the snow?
  6. Maybe up there in the land of cold, wind and rain!
  7. Both grey 071's now well outside my price range - both currently around the €370 mark. https://www.ebay.es/itm/155475800367 https://www.ebay.es/itm/155475793533 @Fowler4fdid post about these in a different thread, and I'm pretty sure he posted in another different thread a week or two back, when this seller sold another load of stuff.
  8. Hatton's: https://www.hattons.co.uk/434524/oxford_diecast_76rn001_renault_4_beige/stockdetail Would have preferred buying from IRM or Marks Models but it wasn't available from either: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/vehicles/availability_in-stock?sort_by=price-ascending http://www.marksmodels.com/?pid=44397 Hatton's also have the red one in stock, and both blue and brown versions available to pre-order.
  9. Yup, but I have a shedload of locking bars to cut off sprues today and glue in place!
  10. Went for the R4 myself. Wrong colour, I'd like a blue and a dark red, but better than nothing.
  11. Second-hand Hornby ONE pack in that same parcel. With Hornby, you get C-Rail print quality plus Dapol opening doors, so the best of both worlds there, but the locking bars are body coloured, which means that painting / weathering is required. Overall, C-Rail are still clear winners in the container contests.
  12. A little VW camper van or a blue Triumph would look right at home on that bridge!
  13. That's probably one of the best photos of Kingsbridge that you have posted. Love it. None of the others represent the massive scale and intricate trackwork.
  14. Love the eye-level perspective. Looks really really good! Getting a bit of deja-vu. Either I had a premonition, or watched this on YT yesterday!
  15. Another of last year's parcels has just arrived, with more Dapol containers. CMA CGM / Hapag Lloyd twinpacks. I had bought them because they were so cheap, something like £6 per container, and had planned using them as donors for something else. However, the print on these is a million times better than the recent Dapol ONEs, Mitsuis, yellow Ferrymasters and Samskips. I'm well impressed, as I was expecting pure muck. You can still make out places where the different layers don't line up properly, a bit of white sticking out from under the black or whatever, but they don't have that headache-inducing fuzziness that Dapol are now famous for.
  16. Been after 171 for a long long time!
  17. Container-spotting at Los Santos port... Infinity miles away from Las Canarias and not many will recognise the containers, aside from @Sean, @Branchline121, and one or two others.
  18. Finally picked up the elusive Murphy Models 171! Will work out more expensive than the price displayed as you have to remove VAT, then add on postage, IGIC and handling, so may not seem like a bargain to some but it was to me!
  19. Disappointed with @MOGUL this time. I mean, it's better than nothing, but no Superquinn sausages? They'd better be in tomorrow's container!
  20. Back when the community markers first appeared, some members were deliberately changing their locations to be thousands of km off. Is it possible that you changed it as a joke back then, and forgot about it?
