  1. I think I'd rather my child playing video games than doing a spot of substance abuse to be honest.
  2. My Merlin effort, and a Cork - Dublin Train Merlin Clondalkin/Fonthill by franburke, on Flickr Mark IV Cork - Dublin by franburke, on Flickr
  3. Cheers Barl. I never noticed the wall before, but it's part of a property of a person I'm not sure I'd want to mess with I believe!
  4. If you delete your sent messages too it helps I think. Then we can send each other all the love letters we like
  5. What a fabulous setting Neil, great shot! Some more of Merlin yesterday, and other shots such as 088 on the liner and 206 before she failed in Kildare as well as others on my flickr More Merlin Magic by franburke, on Flickr 088 Heading to Mayo by franburke, on Flickr 206 New Enterprise Livery Clondalkin/Fonthill by franburke, on Flickr
  6. Yep, Hawkins St no longer opens on Sunday's.
  7. Could you stop quoting this hearsay again please? It could be interpreted as defamatory against the party mentioned. Thanks.
  8. We love you really.
  9. Photo of Merlin this morning, 088 on the liner and 206 Ex Works heading to Cork before it failed on my flickr. More pics of the RPSI special, liner, ICRs and 201s will be added later today for those that are interested. Merlin looked superb. Merlin Clondalkin Fonthill by franburke, on Flickr
  10. Welcome to the site yankho, I have moved this to it's own topic as it had little relevance to the subject you posted it on originally and people will see your post here more clearly and will be able to help with your request. Please look through the board, familiarise yourself with the different sections and areas and I'm sure you'll be able to find what you're looking for.
  11. Have to say I saw a demo of the Roco Z21 system on YouTube and I was seriously impressed. Tempts me to sell on My Lenz and get it for the 'will I ever get to build it' layout. Smart phone throttles is a big plus for me, it means your mates can come over and have an operating session with you without forking out a fortune on throttles and they're wireless.
  12. Interesting that you're willing to believe fact/propaganda from one side and dismiss the other side. But sure that's your business. Especially when it comes to things quoting 'projections' and dismissing figures from the other side as 'suspect'. The east coast franchise was a testimony to what can be achieved under public ownership in current conditions. It took an abandoned Franchise ballsed up by a private operator and made it profitable to the extent that there has been uproar when it was re privatised. Forget the past and BR, East Coast shows the template for what renationalisation could be like.
  13. As had I when I had an issue with a 141 (one small problem out of 13 141s/181s wasnt too bad) got back to me promptly and helped me out. Hence my initial suggestion.
  14. Great video man, the Rapido stuff looks special. Tempted by their Amtrak F40 coming out soon...
  15. In your opinion, which seems to be the most important thing to you. Also, you've taken this topic off course (and others). No more derailing topics so we can feast on your opinions which have little to do with the topic in hand. Thank you.
  16. I could be wrong of course, but screams starlet to me. Used to get a lift home from school in a 127, the hole in the floor reminded me of the flintstones!
  17. The other car looks like a starlet to me?
  18. That rail trip you took last week has really taken its toll on you.
  19. Tippex came in when IR was formed in 1987. So around there or maybe 88/89. Love the rust free fiat 127!
  20. We'll have to agree to disagree Kevin (about methods of complaint, not the insanity bit!). If I have a problem with a product I would go to the manufacturer directly. I done it before with a US outline steam loco. They engaged with me and resolved the issue. I didnt go on forums and give out over and over again in the hope that the manufacturer would see them. Some people seem to want to do that on here rather than send PM an email. If he doesnt get back to a customer in a reasonable timeframe then I would understand the moaning. If people want to do things differently then that's up to them and that's fair enough. Anyway, this topic seems to bring out very emotive feelings amongst some. I think for the sake of the forum there is no need to go over the issues with the coaches again as it's been done to death already a couple of times now. I dont see the need to discuss this every few weeks and think it's best left until new developments take place.
  21. I think Wrenn's post sums things up nicely. Can we now stop with the hearsay comments, conspiracy theories, criticisms of strategy, business decisions etc of Murphy Models please? If you want official communication from Murphy Models please contact the man directly or await patiently the communique on his website or via Wrenn Eire and dont hassle him (Wrenn) for a response. He will pass it on when he gets it. Thank you.
