  1. Must dig my copy out and have a gander. cheers man!
  2. Excellent photo, cheers!
  3. Cheers Dave. Now, has anyone come across a built up 800 and got a pic of one? That'd make a real nice loco in O gauge!
  4. So those C Rail Bells would look right at home on them? Nice!
  5. Flat looks amazing. What time period would they have been used on liners?
  6. I would've thought that some of their produce would be part of your collection! Nice one Dave, I'd say their story was an interesting one between running a model shop and producing kits. Different era and all that. We've come a long way but there's a nostalgia about the past. I suppose I'm curious as I have very vague memories of being in Monck Place as a nipper and still have the Hornby Duchess as proof of the visit!
  7. Threw a cheap Bachmann chip into her and both ends running as normal. She'll be put through her paces in Portarlington before long before she's given the clean bill of health!
  8. Love the Leinster Models stuff Dave. I heard their kits were a bit crude and a nightmare to build. Am I right in saying he did some Irish O gauge kits too? You'd miss Monck Place really, it sounds like a real old school model shop. When did the McGowans finish up all together?
  9. Super stuff Richie, the finish really is good but I really love the flush glazing. Lack of flush glazing on models where required is something that grates me personally. These really lift the donors to a level where you cant tell their vintage anymore.
  10. I'll be up for the sides and the buffet interior John. The TPO may also be on interest. Does anyone have details of a typical formation of a TPO train that these vans would've been used in?
  11. Always loved the TEE stock, lovely stuff Steven.
  12. Great! It was a good video as it was, can't wait to see the finished product
  13. Weird. It worked when I posted it. How odd...
  14. Of for those who dont do Facebook or who cant access due to non membership of the group.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AyPjDzqIq4
  15. Super stuff Noel, rolling stock is my cup of tea too. Love the BR steam/diesel transition era, especially when it involves former LMS and LNER motive power.
  16. you may get stuck paying the VAT here if you bring them in from the States. Maybe try giving Wrenneire a shout? Seamus Graham might have some left too.
  17. BR in the 1980s. NIR had a 70 class railcar decked out in similar livery.
  18. Correct on all scores!
  19. Please see our rules We are happy to allow people to advertise here but transactions are your own business. We would ask members to sort any grievances outside the public areas of the site (pm's are understandable but when using Paypal you do use a persons email address etc). Payment portals such as Paypal will offer the buyer a route to protection as Dave points out.
  20. empty shell I believe.
  21. The correct answer is Laminate.
  22. Balls you're right Rich, the original posting was about DeDeitrich stock and I got mixed up. I'll go back asleep! D&M's product is still nice mind you.
  23. Agreed, really enjoyed it even though as many know my interest in the Irish scene is somewhat on the periphery. Good modelling is good modelling though and can be enjoyed no matter what the subject matter is. Well done team!
  24. If you have deep pockets then D&M will be your friend. Superb stock mind you!
  25. Another great Flickr album belongs to Ernie's Rail Archive - So many gems from the 1950's to the 90's. I love his British stuff too personally.
