  1. It is a slim enough tome - sent in a card-backed envelope, so you should be ok I reckon!
  2. Copy arrived this morning - something to look forward to for when I get home this evening!
  3. Stick a pantograph on top & install some traction motors - job done. Also, think of the amount of batteries you could fit into the boiler space if you ripped out all the pipes!
  4. I've just ordered a copy from the RPSI website shop
  5. The dream would be to put something up on Ebay that both Musk and Bezos wanted, and for them to enter into a savage bidding war!
  6. Maybe spam comment the post, so he turns off comments? It'll only make it harder for him to sell...
  7. Murphy's Models have a technical section with details on the DCC values for their locos: http://www.murphymodels.com/Technical.html
  8. I've seen people bidding over the new price on vinyl records on Ebay that are still available from the record label's webstore!
  9. Hi Dane, I have the full boxed set, and would like to donate it to the carer of the young lad so it can make his Christmas. The funds can be donated to a charity of the carer's choice. As I only ride a motorbike, it'd have to be collected from Athlone. You can PM me to arrange a time -Andy
  10. I was on the Zoom call when this was shown - great footage for sure!
  11. IR logo is reversed - image flipped to fit on the left side of the cover
  12. Did a bit of googling on it there & you are spot on. Very weird stuff - fibrous mineral, with really tiny particle size. Fascinating, but scary to think of how it was mined, handled & used before the health threats were discovered
  13. He needs to take some pointers from AvE on box opening lol!!! (btw, he swears a bit for those who don't like that sort of thing!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztpWsuUItrA
  14. AFAIK, the ITG had to have asbestos removed from the cab walls of the B101 class they have at Carrick-on-Suir. It was blue asbestos I think, which isn't as bad to deal with as the fibrous variety.
  15. My copy arrived today too
  16. I'd say you'd be one of the few to buy one! Absolutely hideous looking livery on the A class, in my opinion of course!
  17. You are thinking of the DH class - three locos that the ITG had, but then sold off. Details from their site below: https://www.irishtractiongroup.com/formerlocos
  18. Doesn't the NI Protocol give businesses in NI access to the Single Market, as well as the UK market? Best-of-both-worlds so to speak? So no duties should have been leveled on the items in the first place - or am I getting that wrong?
  19. Very interesting looking! I have to say, it must be the handiest livery for the lads in the paint shop to apply. Looking forward to seeing it in the original as delivered grey livery though
  20. Nice - I just swooped on 036 to go along with 054 - I love the day-glo panels!
  21. Cute-hoorism taken to the next level
  22. Well K801 which was brought in on trial was based on the German V65
  23. I was just going to post this! I attended the event at the start of the week - very well put together
  24. I'm in Athlone too, but currently have no layout. Also, I've no car, so no way to transport anything either. @eeiknh - you don't happen to work in Ericsson do you? Your userid looks like an Ericsson userid to me!
  25. They sat down in the Sherrif Street yard after being withdrawn from service as far as I know, so they may have arrived like that. Either way, at least they haven't been cut up!
