  1. I agree, That's not acceptable but you should be able to get a replacement/refund from whoever you purchased from. My only issue was 2 broken vacuum hoses out of 8 locos. Might need to check the lights as I haven't test run them all yet. My God, you actually need to take them out of the boxes! @K801 I don't think they do which is a shame given the fine interior detail
  2. but keep the APT-E!
  3. Yup, have those already
  4. Prefer to see something from the heritage set that would fill in a lots of rolling stock gaps
  5. That Caledonian is the biz, would love to have something like that in Irish outline. I had a whole load of British outline model steam locos at one point, the prototypes from decades before i was born. There has been that option available for Irish steam. That was what was available so that's what I bought. Love the 4-4-0 designs, a little variety from 0-6-0s all the time, nice shot of 171 and the heritage set
  6. That’s a fantastic idea. I think many of us have perused figurines by Bachmann and others looking for ‘prototypic’ CIE crews. Could do with passengers for trackside and coaches from some different eras from 60s onward too
  7. Occasionally you might have a broken gear but I'd wager that it has been sitting around for a while and is in need of lubrication with a light machine oil or similar. Should be easy enough to open up and clean and/or lubricate the gears and motor. Probably easier than returning it especially if you're responsible for return postage. @raymurphWhich loco is it exactly? Chances are, there's a youtube video to help you open it and guide you through the maintenance
  8. Indeed, I'm surprised someone has not confirmed this immediately.
  9. Hi Fran, I have different liveries in my orders (priorities as funds become available). Do you now have grey & yellow, BnT and Supertrain? If so, at least one of my orders will be on its way
  10. Unfortunately I can't see that video. The central 'Play' icon has a slash through it. Copying the address into another window gives 1S160/2 error. Not sure why some videos do this on the site? @BosKonay EDIT: Works fine now. Weird. Anyway smashing video @fishplate7
  11. Hah! the postage to the US on this one is almost that. Good for you
  12. I understand you completely. This has been that way of Irish economics from my youth and possibly long before that. God forbid there should be one left over. The sad part is the vendor likely could have increased his bottom line and satisfied demand. Anyway, its a lovely model albeit this green on modern buses is not my favorite
  13. A number of of site members hav been in contact with them by the looks of it (inc. myself ) so we shall wait and see
  14. Such a shame the anything Irish is sold out before it even hits the shelves
  15. Certainly none on B125 in @WRENNEIRE 's photo on another thread
  16. THID FICTITIOUS STUFF DRIVES ME CRAZY AND WOULD BE BETTER LEFT IN THE FLICKRWORLD TO AVOID CONFUSION
  17. eBay UK is already dead for us in the USA with the GSP program. Some interesting little books and things come up from time to time that might be GBP 5-10 PLUS 22.89 shipping with Pitney Bowes, worst shipper I've come across in a while for the most expensive rate and prehistoric website/tracking, then the VAT/tax. Forget it.
  18. Yeah, you can't leave the ballasted things anywhere, they'll steal anything y'know
  19. On the up side, the 737 Max are due back in the air, so that should help... no wait, planes in the air it what is needed...... yeah, got it now .... sorry!

Fantastic shot of Ballinhassig with the Goggin's Hill Tunnel portal just visible in the background. A private residence now stands where the waiting room on the right was.
  22. NO brainer, the track
  23. Doh! YOU mean the OO scale is on undersized track? I'll email IRM right away and we can get proper Irish track for proper Irish rolling stock
  24. Fingers crossed. Election night in America is entering its third day!
  25. Not my era but a quick trawl on Flickr will turn them up between at least 2009 and 2018 on 20', 42' flats and in pocket wagons.
