  1. There were actually four editions of Irish Railways Traction And Travel......... Anyway, I had a quick look at the latest edition, dated 2004. The list of 141/181 locos stopped at that time was, 150 stopped 31/5/03 ......... 188 stopped 8/11/03 157 stopped 26/7/03 ......... 191 stopped 20/8/91 158 stopped 22/3/99 161 stopped 5/96 174 stopped 5/10/93
  2. Irish Railways Traction And Travel.... produced by Peter Jones of the ITG, is probably the best source of that information. There were three editions published over the years. Not available to buy new now, but do appear on eBay from time to time. Well worth collecting all three if you could.
  3. I also bought some stock during the week

  5. Marks Models are holding a sale on all MM locos and coaches. Some good discounts to be had!
  6. Is that a one-off production, or who produced it? Are they about to build it? It would be nice to see it completed!
  7. Have you considered going along to this outing? Take all the pics you need..... http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/4575-Modeller-s-visit-to-the-Downpatrick-amp-Co-Down-Railway
  8. Might be of interest to anyone with an interest in railways of the 19th century http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bradshaws-Guide-8-Railways-Ireland/dp/1445638665/
  9. Congrats to you and Mrs. ttc! Good luck with the new build!
  10. It's looking well. Grand job!
  11. That's an excellent bit of engineering there Dhu Varren! And a very detailed account of the work. Well done I'm looking forward to seeing this loco when it's completed!
  12. My guess is he's trying to complete a set of original MM models. As for getting 187, hang in there. One will show up sooner or later
  13. Did you contact John at Silverfox? As most of his models would be built to order, perhaps he'd finish them in the shade you require?
  14. Is anyone else having difficulty accessing themodelshop.ie? I only get this message: 'There has been an error processing your request'
  15. It's probably better for UK customers, such as yourself. It's probably the overseas postage that most people, myself included, have had concerns about. Edit: But no problems with items being delivered, I must say!
  16. Hattons commissioned Heljan to produce the UK class 28, which was a Metropolitan Vickers loco, which was originally manufactured around the same time as, and was related to, the A class. To me at least it looks like a fine model. http://www.ehattons.com/33376/Heljan_2801_Class_28_Co_Bo_Diesel_D5705_BR_Green_with_Small_Yellow_Panels_as_preserved_/StockDetail.aspx
  17. Great detailed shots of the 'progress'.
  18. Hattons don't seem to have the Mk2 Supertrain coaches in stock yet. I wonder if they are going to bother stocking them at all?
  19. I tried logging on about 15 minutes ago (13:15) and the site was down. But, everything seems fine now
  20. Good point........
  21. This is probably the most expensive price possible to find these locos at. As already said, Rails are cheaper. Hattons are cheaper too. And, when you factor in the exchange rate, Irish retailers would be even cheaper.
  22. Can you post a list of what he has?
  23. I suppose one option would be to buy the Silverfox models in kit form and paint them in the correct livery.
  24. Saw it just now! It is me who was asking the questions on that thread. Thanks for letting me know anyway!
