  1. Fair enough..
  2. I normally check what's been happening by clicking 'Quick Links' and then 'Today's Posts' - I've puzzled for a long time about why some are shown in red and some are blue - I've done my best to try to work it out myself, but have now decided to give up and ask. Anybody know the answer..?
  3. Available from Antics - http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/2151_1_16598.html And available direct through eBay - http://proses.com/modelrailforum/items.html
  4. The big clear-out has revealed a receipt showing that I actually got them from Axminster - http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-axminster-detail-sanding-pen-kit-prod21968/ - although they seem to have gone up a bit since.. The new Garryson blocks also came from there - http://www.axminster.co.uk/page/find/?name=garryson&page=1

  9. No, but I've been through a good few - there's a comment on Flickr that it's between the two railway lines, but that might not even be true, of course... I thought that the white roof across the drive would give it away fairly easily - assuming that it was there when the aerial pictures were taken, of course..
  10. I do have a feeling that he might be sleeping in it... It's in Wellington in Shropshire, but I can't find it on Google Earth.
  11. 1985, I think - and I can still taste it. Possibly a serious issue, though, especially for those with younger 'potential modellers' in the house, where remedies might be sought in the heat of the moment and the dead of the night..
  12. Glad to see that you've taken the label off the old Optrex bottle. We wouldn't want any unfortunate accidents. ..writes somebody that once brushed his teeth with Deep Heat...
  13. Wexfordloco10 has some good Sperry shots on his Flickr -
  14. Nice - it almost sounds like you have a flat spot on a wheel at about 0:30, might have been a bit of ballast..?
  15. Found it - - very good.
  16. Might be of interest - http://www.askaboutireland.ie/reading-room/environment-geography/physical-landscape/castlecomer-plateau/coalmining-in-castlecomer/mining-equipment-and-inve/ - if you haven't already seen it..

  20. Time to add another search on eBay..?
  21. If they had orange waistcoats on it would be alright. I would have shoved that lad in the smokebox and shut the door....
  22. Glues sand on the rails to combat leaf induced slippage - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandite
  23. Most of the current collection occurs on the loco wheels, due to the traction tyres on the tender - the wires transfer the current. I've been inside the tender - I wonder if the body is just clipped on - can't remember and it isn't here at the moment to check.. http://web.blissett.me.uk/house/hornby-service-sheets/ss-204.jpg
