  1. Hi Weshty, you are correct. Over the years I've come across a few HO road vehicles with Irish company liveries on them. Normally I discover them on websites for Swiss based model railway shops.
  2. I find the 'One Hundred Days of Walking' segment on Newstalk very annoying. As soon as it's mentioned I change to a different radio channel. Have to say, the quality of presenters on Newstalk aren't as good as they used to be.
  3. This might just be a tad too small for your OO layouts
  4. Good camera work, they look a lot bigger than OO.
  5. @irishthump: Great work on the weathering, looks very realistic. What gauge is the stock? I've been visiting the Accurascale website lately and there's an update on the Class 37s and it looks impressive. 2021 looks like it'll be a good year to be a British Railway modeller.
  6. Hi All, came across this story in the BBC business section. Click on link to read the story: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-55329570
  7. @Warbonnet: The shine is beginning to fade on my one2ones, so, what's the latest with the As?
  8. Calm down guys. The paint has hardly dried on the MM121s and now you're looking for a "bells & whistles" model of the Sulzers. I wonder if Murphy Models and IRM will have an arm wrestling competition to see who produces of the B101s. Things are a bit quiet on the A Class front.
  9. Years ago 'a box shifter' meant something totally different.
  10. Have to say, this is my favourite thread. Always look forward to new photographs being added. Learn so much of how Ireland's railways were back in the mid-20th century. A picture tells a thousand words.
  11. I'd say that Paddy Murphy got all of the details right and, maybe, it's EMD/CIE/IÉ who got it wrong and they should use his models to put things right. Does anyone remember how many RTR models of Irish railway prototypes were available on the market 20 years ago. It's so long ago I can't remember.
  12. The MM0125 looks great. I'd say these models will sell very quickly.
  13. It has been announced that the production of the Fleischmann HO Profi Track has ceased. It's news to me as I thought that they had stopped producing all HO related model railway items since 2019. Sad to see the demise of a once great model railway manufacturer.
  14. Just shows you how good the IRM stuff is when you didn't need to use them.
  15. The yellow handrails on the 121 in that video are very plastic looking.
  16. @snapper - Thanks for posting that video. It made really interesting viewing.
  17. It's my brother's birthday also. Mind, you guys [IRM] have done more in the last five years that he has his whole life. Congratulations and a big thank you for all of the wonderful models you've created.
  18. What are dynamic brakes? I've heard them mentioned a lot on product review videos relating to models of American diesel locomotives.
  19. Do any of you guys actually 'enjoy' railway modelling?
  20. It's a brilliant model. Didn't think I'd bother with the grey version until I saw it in the flesh. I'm in awe of how great it looks, took my breath away. Hope it's detailed enough to keep the Irish railway modeller extremists happy.
  21. 20 years ago we weren't complaining about the plastic looking hand rails on our 'Irish' railway models. I wonder why that was?
  22. Think I'll wait for the Silver Fox version.
  23. I notice that the changes/updates were done on a 'Good News Week'. What will happen the week when the As are launched? Watch this space (which might look a lot different than it does today)!
