Garfield Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Excellent! That's a very throaty sound for such a small engine...
BosKonay Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Have to say i LOVE the NIR one at the end

Joe Keegan Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 could you set this loco on a bit of track and put it on a part of the West Cork System.first C class In 50 years. If you e mail Neil Ramsey he might come over for a few pints of the real stuff. Joe
Guest hidden-agenda Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Love the exhaust looks so realistic and the NIR one is first class.
Mayner Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Its well worth checking out Neill's other videos Although mainly narrow gauge the broad gauge side of things seems to be getting bigger with SLNCR & GNR railcrs nd rail busses. John
Steptoe Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I love the sound of the crossley engine sound chip...i wonder what loco it is out of.
Joe Keegan Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I love the sound of the crossley engine sound chip...i wonder what loco it is out of I do believe it diesel R/C engine coupled to a generator. The generator is connected to a set of maxon motors on each bogie and the speed is controlled by a electronic speed controller (ESP) in series with the motors. The ESP is connected to a R/C reciever. This small diesel engine/generator set up has been done on the 16MM narrow gauge site a couple of years back of which Neil is a member of. I had the pleasure of meeting Neil a few years back at the Narrow Gauge show at Birmingham and seeing his large scale collection of Irish narrow gauge loco's / railcars. Have a look at his live steam Pheonix on you tube. Joe
Weshty Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 So this is a REAL diesel electic....in 15mm. Be still my beating heart.
jhb171achill Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Amazing. I always thought if I ever got time, a 00 gauge West Cork layout would be a dream come true, but a G scale West Cork in the garden.... wow. Live steam Bandon tanks, ex-MGWR 0.6.0 tank engines, No. 90, C class diesels, AEC railcars and elderly 50ft bogie coaches and six-wheelers, all against a backdrop of beet wagons in sidings...... 1
