Thanks for posting these photos @Patrick Davey, and many congratulations to Gordon Hunt on such an outstanding layout. The detail is magnificent!  It is great to see another real location modelled and especially another real location in Norn Ireland. There are so many areas of interest and such attention to detail. Very, very impressive.

I saw this layout in Donaghadee* yesterday. Really inspiring stuff! The accuracy and attention to detail are brilliant. Thanks for the chat and the chance to see it Gordon

Visited it this afternoon, what a truly magnificent detailed depiction of Donaghadee and friendly information from the modelling team.

The video is  of GN engine "Down" hauling Ulster Transport liveried coaches.

That is just LIGHT YEARS beyond STUNNING!!!  The UTA period is much neglected among modellers, despite having much interesting potential content. This has it in bucketloads, complete with GNR section excursion onto BCDR metals. Nice train make up too - a BCDR 6-wheeler and two ex-GN coaches, all in an authentic UTA green. More please!

Those BCDR signals would tax my skills and cause a retreat to the profanarium. They look more spindly than any Scottish Co signals.

To be fair, they are probably the same as building any lattice post signal, e.g., LSWR, CR, LNER, etc., so go carefully with the soldering iron and use the minimum amount of solder that you can get away with.

Those 5ft arms are seriously long, though....
