Absolutely horrified to hear today of the sudden death of Fred Dean of Cork, who will be well known to some of us. More into bus models and IRRS matters than railways, he was nonetheless a familiar sight. Sympathies to his family. RIP.

I got the phone call earlier day. Im speechless. For context to this. He elected me to the Munster Area IRRS comitee just 11 days ago. He gave a show about what he loved, the bus.

RIP

Unbelieveable news- so shocked.

I was only looking recently at photos of buses he emailed on in 2012 that l was looking for at the time.

He was always so helpful.

Fred Dean RIP.

I watched the funeral today on YouTube, very sad and gone too soon.

His photographs will always be around for us to look at and that is one of his legacies.

god bless him and his family.
