  1. Had a driver around saltmiills and there was a 2 houses with some very interesting old bits n bobs, one had a flywheel in the front garden!! This house had about 10 rusting tractors in the front of it. The old car is a lot worse for wear since google has mapped it. RTE doing a doc on it back in the 80's, Shame it is a wreck now.
  2. "Bargains". Spat me coffee out there. Heard the Vat man will be on the Down Enterprise checking bags
  3. Took a spin around Saltmills and came across 2 houses with some interesting bit an bobs outside, One had 2 halves of a flywheel another had loads of rusting tractors outside too. I wonder if it is the same lads that brought the boat up there?
  4. Well I took the 47 out of the box and it works Sorted! Delighted with this as I had been looking for one for ages, Ok does not have interior light n suff, 8 sounds that is really enough for me!! Forgive the click bait title, Just trying to get my own back!! LOL Shite quality too btw.
  5. Yep Dude sorry man I was there till 1845 and Missed you as well.!! next time kid!! you were busy too!! lads were getting there heart broke with derailments on the inner track but class for sure.
  6. Quite a few 121's scattered about the show today for sure. Bagged a nice Two Tone Green Baccy Class 47 with sound for 100 notes from Sean Ryan, Worth the trip alone, Just had a play with it there now and it is brand new!! Not even run!! Enjoyed the day there, Left at 1745 and headed down to see the forlorn Port Lairge Wreck down in Saltmills then over to Portlaw to see the Malcomson's house, fish n chip in Youghal then. just in the door
  7. The old days of getting stuff in a few days is gone. No point in Cribbing about it, If you want it Sooner , if possible buy within the EU. Ordered some RC Boat stuff on Friday from the UK March the 31st, got the An post notice Wednesday, Paid the vat tis on it way, Probably Tuesday now when I will see it. so what used to be 2 days is now taking 2 weeks to get something in from our Neighbours, Pretty daft but that's the deal
  8. If this is paid to the door there should be no fees to you. If the importer of record is Hattons then they should be taking the hit. Ask An Post for a copy of the MRN, if it if you down as the IOR on it then it is wrong. If it is hattons then they should be billed by An post.
  9. Only been to Devon in the 80's, We were around Torquay camoing. Only Recollection is watching 2 Buccanners passing below us whilst on Dartmoor.! My Dad is from Barnstaple so that's the connection. Maybe one day I'll get over again and visit the railway but me Dad wont be able too.
  10. A simple roundy with hills and Scenery, with a station and loop, Siding for the ol fella, Have the Woody Bat Station and Some Tunnel Mouths I had bought some time back. As I have the boat finished I might knock some board up when the good weather comes. Yours looks very interesting TBH.
  11. Oh Fab!! Have 2 Mannings myself but yet to get the wood sorted out.
  12. They Paint a Retro yoke up and then put on the modern logo on the front......Strange one
  13. nice one just found one I had spare too.
  14. Defo one for Daves Collection.. and would certainly fit on my layout. Order placed.
  15. Well the VRT has zero to do with Brexit, That is an Irish Charge. why would that change?
  16. RMWEB is something I don't miss along with the Grumpy lad running it. Gone downhill since the Ads came in and only pop in once in a while.
  17. Hi Niall, Not Really TBH FYI I was not cribbing about the price just the disparity between the Dublin fare and the Mallow fare as per my outline query above. Seems the Mallow leg is loaded for Extra Cash flow but as you say you done the research. I hope those on it enjoy their day out and I hope it is a success for you
  18. Hi Niles, Well done in setting this up and for good causes, but just wondering your E85 from Dublin seems to match the IR Fare but the Mallow return of €55 is way over the normal €37.50. Seems a bit on the heavy side for the lads joining down south? Any reason for that?
  19. Vat is paid on the goods Value plus the postages. The Postage Cost of 12 notes killed it......Really Crazy TBH. Makes no Sense in ordering tiny items at all these days. Being in Ireland Really sucks for Model makers.
  20. Looking at google maps you can see it from this road bridge, As you can see the bridge has been very carefully restored. Pity they did not use the old round top cement to match the older part of the bridge.
