  1. Another nice Addition to the AS range. Thankfully I have more than enough of Baccy ones I got for a Tennor each some time back will do me and I do love them going around in a long rake.
  2. Well that's that then. Original concept was not going to work for exhibitions being a one man band plus the cabin was too damp in the end. I had some interest in people to buy the layout but the hassle was not worth the time so all the track and gubbins were stripped. So I have invested in the installation of a 30x10ft shed which hopefully will house a permanent layout in a 20x10ft section (still wondering why though given the crazy cost of modelling these days) and an office / Modelling section in a separate partitioned 10x10ft section. All insulated inside. coming soon! I hope to re-use the base boards for a 8 x 2 ft Austrian HOe layout. Cabin has gone off to its second life as a tool shed.
  3. Look really good. It wold be nice to see some a video of the running qualities Videos over points etc to see the couplings interact etc.?
  4. It seemed a be Throaty-er in the Vid TBH. The Loco engine sound emiteed is a bit flat wise when compare the the other Irish sound options. However I won't be jumping to do the Mod either.
  5. Stephen, Can I ask how come the Lighting issue went through quality check and not mentioned upon release, don't these all get signed off with a signature sheet but were not 100% correct? If there is a new release I suspect the wiring will be corrected?
  6. Thanks, I dont remember reading about this in theMagazine Reviews and nothing was said upon release either AFAIK. appreciate the Effort, Once I get some stuff up and running again I try doing this too.
  7. and don't Forget Groudle Glen, Laxey Mine and the Miniature railway in the Zoo!
  8. Hi DJ, sorry to say I did not, the IRM Massive advised to use Coupling bars which tbh worked fine and eradicated the derailing, but then you have a fixed rake which is a pain. I am packing all my stuff back up as the Portacabin is going and I noticed that the plastic the Tension couplers and bars are made from what I feel is of a slightly poorer plastic compared to the other manufacturers and I when I replaced and re installed them you can see White Fracture marks on them so they wont last too much handling wise. Not to mind when trying to extract them the plate push fitted over the coupling pops off. Lots of fun.
  9. Z21 for me, I had the NCE yoke, Got rid of it. Roster was tiny. 6 locos, Functions list showing on screen was limited. I can vouch for the handhold and ease of use but the Z21 blew it away, I use my phone now and have the symbols for all the sounds which is great.
  10. Nice one. Simple as that eh. If the motor buzzed the blanking plate was in correctly at first. So it was the 21 Pin Decoder not connecting and subsequently the blanking plate was not connecting either correctly.
  11. The DC channel I think is number 0. Not a DC controller. Your saying it aint moving under DC either so something has gone kaput, either the motor or PCB, any Smell of Burn off it when you take the bonnet off?
  12. How Long did you have it on the Track, I take it you had the blanking plate still in. Could you kaputted the motor. did this with a N gauge loco some time ago by accident, Had 2 of the same locos, the non DCC motor cooked up. this DJ?
  13. I am no expert in Crossley noises but a nice bit of sound there for sure. Liking it batter than the re engined ones tgb.
  14. All the stuff departing the Air Tattoo today coverage by planes TV
  15. Ah thats sad, My ship of choice for the Airshow trips until they changed the timings. Great fish n chjps and comfy seats for a good kip. Irish Ferries turned me off that time when the got rid of all the staff and hired a load of cheap labour in.
  16. superb model Top Drawer stuff, yo must be well chuffed on this one.
  17. Another new brand that I have not built. This one is from Kenetic and newish company that has produced possibly the best 104 kit out there. Next to the lightning this would be up there with my favourite jets. Only Downside is that there were no decals for the pitc so etched was called in to help!
  18. Ouch! Reminds me a a friend who is far from thick though it would be an idea to put a model in a hot oven to make the paint dry quicker. it did not end well. The Airfix one was the prototype as well, Never the in Service jobs and I made that years back.
  19. This one just about finished. A new brand for me called Special Hobby. This is a SAAB Viggen Ja-37. 1/72 scale. As near enough a perfect kit as you can get.
  20. The Matt Smoke box is a nice touch. Really pops the model.
  21. Loved to be going but a different island instead next week, Inisbofin...No railways there when I last checked.... enjoy
  22. Class hope to get to Berlin end of Nov this year all going well.
