  2. Hi. Any ideas where you'd get a OO Gauge Container Stacker (Yellow) similar to the Hyco Boss model that was used in North Wall (and elsewhere in Irish Rail freight yards)- see photo thanks to Ernie attached? Cheers. Rob.

    Jason's Workbench

    These look stunning.
  7. Looking to gather together containers that were common in lreland around 2000 - 2010, couple of videos / photos from then show a lot of 'Norfolk Line' 40ft containers, but they seem hard to source- any suggestions where l might pick some up? (OO Gauge)
  8. Amazing- brilliant in every way!! Great to see these shots!

    Project 42 Update

I'm still waiting in D8 after booking at Raheny last year . Jealous of ye that got them first but am sure they are near- will be worth the wait no doubt so no worries.
  10. Just wondering what the best quality / most realistic Freight Containers (OO Gauge) 40ft or 20ft, that people think are out there? Given the arrival of the 42ft Flats, if one wanted to vary the containers carried, what site is best? Any views are welcome!
  11. Thankfully mine arrived from them last week, it is excellent!

    Project 42 Update

Presume these will fit the container flats ? Similar for any of the C-rail intermodel containers, they fit too?
  14. 'Shorties' were the Mark 3's produced by Hornby for smaller layouts to fit more on. They differed from the 'correct' real life version in that they were too short (obviously!) and the Standards had 7 windows instead of 8. The doors are 'wrong' aswell but no model has the correct door config. for the lrish version. Whatever suits though l guess!
  15. Looks great- we don't see enough Mark 3's so always great to see them!
  16. Looks great! Would love to see any Mark 3's !
  17. Brilliant- love these scenes!
  18. Yeah, echo the above points. Eight windows on the Standards is the accurate numbers for IÉ version although the doors won't be accurate as @NIRCLASS80 says- go for what works on your layout & practice on a Hornby shortie first. Good luck & look forward to seeing the work!
  19. Always one of my favourites here!
  20. Love the era you are modelling, exactly like what l like ! Look forward to the progress photos!
  21. This is the large Blue corregated building near the brush wash, l guess? Great pics. Btw, am l correct in saying the Signal Control 'Box' at Heuston is situated over by Platform 10?
  22. For many reasons, the Mark 3's should never have been scrapped!
  23. Any idea where l could locate some (preferably grey) Platform Ladders with Safety Rings, similar to the one in the photo for accessing the platform canopies? They often come with signals (such as CR Signals) but wondering any ideas where ladders like that can be sourced on their own. Also looking for some Refuelling or Water Pump Points similar to the photo below if any one can help where l could find any? (OO Gauge) Thanks!
  24. Hi. Any suggestions of where l could source decent Fencing for OO gauge railway yard along the lines of that at Heuston attached? Something that doesn't require to be painted preferably !! Cheers.
  25. To understand the signalling numbering system like that in Heuston (HN)- in the case at a points crossover, where the driver has the option of: - Continuing straight or - Crossing over to shunt on a different line, should the Shunt (S) number on the signal with the arrow, show the number of the line the driver is on NOW, or the one he is going to crossover into? Hope it makes sense! Eg: if a driver was entering Heuston in the pic below and there was a Shunt Signal facing him with Arrow to the right, what number would be on the Signal Number?
