  1. The Bachmann Moguls appear every couple of weeks - think I posted one in the eBay watch thread a few days ago. The UK variants are usually cheaper, and would be fairly easy to Irish-ize. Try @WRENNEIRE and see if he has something taking up too much space in his treasure trove.
  2. Will there be anybody from the DCDR on-hand at the North Down MRS show on March 23rd and 24th, to accept donations from good folk who may want to offload some cash?
  3. Bump for this thread! @DiveController, @Ironroad, @Sean, @Noel, @patrick, @Patrick Davey, @Niall and a good few others will hopefull receive an email notofication. Lots of brake vans on the list, get the credit cards out, lads! Is it just one of each unit available, @Mayner?
  4. I wonder if they'll commission one through IRM...
  5. Well, I should eat my hat as that 141 went for £220 in Doctor Who money: https://www.ebay.es/itm/296207641617 That 112 went for €600 in the end: https://www.ebay.es/itm/186285329975 It's all in the name... Murphaph Models = Murphy Models??? @Ironroad sent me this bit from the funny pages yesterday, IRM NIR Mk2B/C blue and yellow pack sold for £300 GBP: https://www.ebay.es/itm/126337986279 And following on from that, somebody has all three blue and yellow packs for €350 each: https://www.ebay.es/itm/126339781999 https://www.ebay.es/itm/126339787625 https://www.ebay.es/itm/126339790153 In other news, three Mk4 resprays available at €70 each: https://www.ebay.es/itm/185939095149 A Bachmann Mk2A for €40: https://www.ebay.es/itm/176239823409 Bachmann Mogul with three coaches for €150, may suit some of our US based members more: https://www.ebay.es/itm/116073974864 And three triple-packs of Bachmann green coaches for €75, €30 and €27 respectively: https://www.ebay.es/itm/266683250563 https://www.ebay.es/itm/226003100982 https://www.ebay.es/itm/285704932415 Happy spending, you're welcome!
  6. What about selling some of the damaged stock to a UK line, a private collector or a scrap yard? That would both bring in cash and reduce spending on repairs. Sometimes you have to make difficult decisions. Do we try to save everything, spread ourselves too thinly and end up saving nothing? Or do we do as much as we can, and try to make our efforts last as long as possible? Before anybody responds without thinking, I've been involved with voluntary work for a long long time, and those two questions are borne from experience.
  7. I wonder would flood prevention cost more, or less, than the damage from a few floods.
  8. Only a sucker would miss out on them. Smashing collection, John! Looking forward to the NSE and GWR versions myself.
  9. Are the donors Mk2F's?
  10. Excellent stuff, amazing to see so much progress, and see it all happening so quickly. Wonderful that it can be documented as it happens, here on the forum, too.
  11. So, is €3 Million the final estimate or is the tally still rising? It would be wonderful if there was some way of boosting income, even temporarily. What is the situation with the waterlogged ground? Is the ground itself drying out or is it still largely saturated?
  12. Lovely to see more Barrack Street progress, @Dempsey! A couple of interesting bits and bobs lying around...
  13. 078 and 080 resting in the "depot"...
  14. Always amazes me that this is N Gauge! The detail is excellent. Yay for Ashburton Sundays!
  15. Did I not some pics of the IRM NIR coaches in this thread the other day? Was the post deleted?
  16. Well, @BosKonay, I think I speak for everybody ("No you don't" is cried in unison) when I say that given your feudal status here on the forum, you are obliged to provide biannual (not biennial) updates on Amiens Street!
  17. Or maybe turntables and mixer, a couple of IKEA KALLAX units for your record collection, a smoke machine and some strobe lights? Or a set for making amateur porn?
  18. Saw an update on YouTube a few weeks ago, feels like a perfect time to share:
  19. I missed your updates on this. The photos are fabulous! Love that shot of A15 and B141 sitting at the buffers.
  20. Will be well worth waiting for, specially if the design is going to be modular!
  21. Absolutely lovely stuff here! I agree with the sentiments of everybody, the layout, the scenery, the era, the background modelling, the Tinnelly truck hiding by the warehouse, the main street, the bridge, the platform lamps, the photography and videography, everything is top notch.
  22. Any hints as to how the footbridge will be sold? Will there be several different fixed models, or will it be sold in modules, or will different models be compatible to make it fit any layout?
  23. How's that "sturdy" Chinese Wall doing, @Edo?
