  1. I think the rebuilt Jubilee's are closer.
  2. Vaseline. Had some left over from the weekend you were here.
  3. You don't say???
  4. Still missing two that are on my hit list.
  5. Everybody already knows that I'm the villain!
  6. And, sure while we're in Fantasy Land, or Rule 1 Land, or whatever it's called...
  7. Speaking of cats... I literally didn't turn my back for a second while setting up for the photos, and still... Nothing was harmed during the photo shoot, feline nor railway related.
  8. Speaking from a non-engineering and non-railway-insider angle, is there any way of futuro proofing to an extent, without increasing costs too much? For example, leaving space between the platforms for four tracks instead of two? The two tracks would obviously need to run far enough apart to service both platforms and leave space in the centre for future tracks. This probably applies more to new builds. Surely, in this case, the only additional cost is more landscaping and a longer bridge? Or building one of the two platforms as an Island platform, with hoarding to hide that fact? Therefore allowing two more tracks be laid the other side of the Island platform in the future? This probably applies more to adding stations to current trackwork. Again, speaking from an outsider perspective.
  9. I'll note that in my journal.
  10. Lovely Christmas present for the kids, an O Gauge starter set! https://www.hattons.co.uk/525410/hornby_r1268_harry_potter_hogwarts_express_large_scale_train_set_battery_operated_with_remot/stockdetail
  11. Specially terror types.
  12. Looks like the sound-fitted model also sold! Great price in fairness, for a lovely looking loco.
  13. Do you know a (bogie) man?
  14. Sure where would you stick the decoder?
  15. Back on September 4th, @Warbonnet said in another thread: So I'd guess they've either landed and cleared customs, or are close to doing so. If only we knew somebody like @Georgeconna who could snoop around behind the scenes!
  16. This one's definitely worth quoting into this thread - obviously not mine! Road Kings 180093 1:18 scale 1982 DAF 3600 SpaceCab, stolen from @JasonB's thread here.
  17. These HUO's are on offer again. Absolutely savage price. Ordered a few on Friday, and I'm on the fence about ordering another one or two today. The Black Friday (thank you, Hatton's, O Gauge loco at OO Gauge pricing) Railfreight Class 56 will need to haul something, and these will fit the bill.
  18. Hi All. Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to 1:18 vehicles, as if not, I'll keep hijacking @JasonB's thread. Received a few accessories for the "workshop" last week, cones, wheels etc, so have added them in. This stuff is massive, takes up a lot of space, so it's hard to have it on display without everything being too cluttered. The first photo I took the other day, and have already used it to violate the "Other Side" thread. The last photo is just to show the scale difference between this and what we're accustomed to in the OO Gauge world. The 1982 DAF 3300 SpaceCab is from Road Kings. The 1987 EF3 Honda Civic Si is from Triple 9. They do about six variants of the model, I think. The 1995 EJ1 Honda Civic coupe is from ERTL, have that about twenty years. The 1990 E30 BMW M3 is from Solido. Also available in blue. The 1992 EG9 Honda Civic is from OneModel. Usually go for stupid money on eBay but I won this one a few weeks back for a less-stupid amount. The Honda CBR900RR Fireblade is from Welly. Not a big fan of Welly but you have to have a Honda bike one way or another. The cones are from American Diorama and the wheels and stand are from IXO. If anybody else has any 1:18 stuff to contribute, fire away!
  19. I thought it was a 40% discount? 60% is even better! You won't regret it. I picked one up last time they were on offer. Photos in one of the other threads on this. Very nice detail. Haven't run it yet as I have nowhere to do so, but I sit and stare at it every day.
  20. Who's the handsome one? Is that a 66001 in the background?
  21. Great to see something running! The blood, sweat and tears were definitely worth it.
  22. Does it Matter? That one was a bit scatty, sorry.
  23. Warley, the movie! Those snow shots look pretty cool, and I love the music. Was seriously expecting one of the Avengers to appear.
  24. What do you call the turd link in the chain?
