Hell yes, to both! Now, about this kidney transfer, I'd feel guilty calling in the debt, so may accept a few packs of SQ sausages in lieu.

Not sure if these may work as substitutes? https://www.ebay.es/itm/296010558885 https://www.ebay.es/itm/296008835612 https://www.ebay.es/itm/166345100007 http://www.studio-scale-models.com/TLocos.shtml Not identical, I'm sorry, but might be nice either way.

Time to sell some of the fuzzy Dapol skinny 45's! -
I earned this yesterday morning, dealing with the usual suspects, so it seemed appropriate to use it while I have the chance. I still dream about Superquinn sausages every night, don't worry.

You Can't Beat A Bit of Bulleid - Open Wagons Next For IRM
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
Not knocking @Mayner's wagons here, nor his business, as I have bought several from him, and they are frikkin' awesome. John's also a pleasure to deal with, very prompt and professional. My two takeaways from this IRM announcement are the availability and reliability of the supply, and the utility of both chassis and body for other models. John does his best but is at the mercy of his suppliers. A launch like this reaches a much larger audience, and opens the door for future launches. It won't stop me from buying from John nor @leslie10646. If anything, it may grow demand for their OTHER wagons. I guess it's all subjective. -

21st of August up around Chio, what looks like a grounded "Linea Messina" box. Never heard of Linea Messina before. Looks like NOWU-0128898 is the registration number. NOWU is Norwood Shipping in Valencia, who we last came across on July 18th, on another grounded box. Norwood look to have been absorbed by, taken over by, or morphed into, Tymsa, also Valencia based. -
By original, do you mean the ST models or the IE models? Too bright, as in too much yellow in the mix?
-
The wagons look brilliant, and the layout looks really great, @Sean! The backscene, the track, the ballast, the scattered growth, the lights, and of course the dodgy looking Transit sitting suspiciously there. All just looks excellent.

Murphy Models no. 187 trundling along this morning. Lighting not great, too bright one side and too dark the other, but I have to skip lunchbreak again today and it'll be dark when I finish work, so had to make do.

On the Galways, I took these comparison photos of the MM vs. Lima Galways a few weeks back, then promptly forgot about them. Obviously, there are differences up close, but the Lima's do hold up quite well for their age.

Sorry, @MOGUL, I know that you're suffering from withdrawal the past few days. A few photos from August 4th at IKEA La Laguna... Yes, I'm behind, but these past few months have gone by in a blur. Not sure if I've even taken any more container pictures, for shame. -
Clogherhead - A GNR(I) Seaside Terminus

I'm sure another will come along eventually. The bus is fabulous, and @leslie10646¡s wagons are top notch! -
Is it Friday already or have I died and gone to Heaven? Lovely lovely shots, @ttc0169!

The layout is out of this world, and the wagons and bus look right at home there! Any joy finding that Base Toys Leyland Comet that @Westcorkrailway saw? -
Hmmmmm, video uploading after trying to brighten it up, but it's not great... But look at that firebox glow, on DC!
-
Were there any of the original IE or ST livery Mk2D's on display for colour comparison? I find that the shades of orange on both are very very similar, and could almost do with being swapped around. I have a hazy memory of the ST orange being more Jacobs-biscuit-y orange, like the Atlanteans, and the IR and IE being a more redish orange.
-
Gave Cookham Manor a run this evening for the first time. Left it a bit late to do it as I wanted to see the firebox glow, but cocked up and left it too late, so the video is crap. Trying to lighten the video at the moment, so here's a teaser photo in the meantime.

Me three! Although definitely not that quick, and more likely Postman Pedro, but still.

You Can't Beat A Bit of Bulleid - Open Wagons Next For IRM
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
I wonder, for the 20' double-beets, were these bodies dumped straight onto the 20' flats, or were they re-worked? How long were the triangulated chassis? -
Is there any way of building in a large radius curved point, having a crossover before that, then having two shallower curves like this? Excuse the crudeness but I'm not the best digital artist.
-
I think that the couplings themselves have quite a small margin for movement. Some can't even tolerate simple first and second radius curves, never mind "S" bends. Pushing or pulling them through an "S" bend creates too much lateral force, and something has to give. You could try adding extra weight to test - I've seen something mentioned on here, maybe "Liquid Lead"? The same forces will still exist, however, so they'll just look for a different channel to balance things.

Agree 100%. If it brings new people into the hobby, everybody wins. New ideas, new perspectives, more customers for IRM, Murphy Models, Provincial Wagons, JMD etc further down the line.
