    rpsi B134 loco

Just looking at B134 page on the RPSI site there, and it looks like they could be fitting staff catchers to it too as part of the restoration/repaint in Inchicore (see the second pic - colour scheme guide draft sheet) https://www.steamtrainsireland.com/rpsi-collection/14/b134
  2. Less of that racist shite
  3. Looks like wheel slip is still a problem for the 071 class, as seen in the two vids below. Credit to Irish Rail Trains user on Youtube for the vids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh7ZZru5yIQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FShskcVZe4U
  4. From a post on page 15 of the Murphys Models 121 Class thread: MM0567 Class 121 DCC sound chip SRP €125.00 EMD 8-567CR NT (Sound Decoder representing the Sound for these Locomotives when delivered with their *GM 567 CA 8-Cylinder, twin bank, blower scavenged, developing 950 hp gross at 835 rpm, 875 hp traction. - Prior to engine transplants) MM0645 Class 121 DCC sound chip SRP €125.00 EMD 8-645E NT (Sound Decoder representing the Sound of these Locomotives from Transplanted Engines. Engines from from withdrawn C Class (201) Locomotives were installed in Class 121 Class Locomotives as and when it became necessary to replace engine power packs. *GM B-645 E 8 cylinder. twin bank, blower scavenged, developing 1,100 hp gross at 900 rpm, 1,040 hp traction. *Information taken from Irish Locomotives and Rolling Stock of Coras Iompair Eireann and Northern Ireland Railways - O.Doyle ans S. Hirsch I'd reckon the 567 sound chip would be applicable to the older livery you have ordered, but I stand to be corrected on that
  5. I don't trust horses - they are just like cattle, only smarter. Sneaky kicks out at people etc. I had horse burgers in France many years ago, and they were nice though. Good in a lasagne too
  6. Looks like the crane is using a load spreader bar to unload the prototype: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nlireland/6633962763/ For the model, bottom of page 16 of this thread has an unboxing vid
  7. My favorite too - I went for 054 in this livery, as well as 027 in Supertrain
  8. Post hard Brexit at the end of the year, lets see how many will still shop with Hattons, Rails etc when there will be a nice slice of customs duty applied on top of any reduced price the UK dealer may offer
  9. I'm splitting my orders between Marks Models and IRM for the upcoming releases
  10. Ah nice one! If/when you know when they can be ordered, please let me know here, as I am not on Facebook & would really hate to miss these!
  11. Does anyone here know if there is a diecast version of the Van Hool D class planned/upcoming? When I was on Facebook, I was member of an Irish Model bus group, a member of which put together a small run of the KD, and old Leyland Atlantean, which were fantastic. Since leaving Facebook, I now have no way of knowing if he is doing a new run or not, and I would hate to miss out if he did the Van Hool D - my favorite Irish bus of all time.
  12. Very cool packing - no fear of damaging it when unboxing
  13. or 'pulling the trigger' as a friend calls it! This is the only way he will bid - on vinyl records though, so you can relax!
  14. I like that homemade wooden one - very simple
  15. Is that the 'A Class' model from Lima back in the day? Seeing how the 'C Class' was a repainted Class33 and all...
  16. Nothing to stop that. Looking at the bid history (click on the bids beside the price), there are only three bidders on it. e***v( 0 ) : 8 items bid on in the last 30 days, 100% of them with this seller. This seems suspect c***a( 19) : 11 items bid on in last 30day, 60% with this seller t***_( 133) : 3 items bid on in last 30 days, 70 % with this seller. The first is very suspect
  17. That part you have circled above is the '21 pin dcc decoder socket' by the looks of it
  18. Wow, just wow...
  19. Agreed - they'll stop spray from a sneeze or cough exiting the body & landing on surfaces that others could then come in contact with, thereby picking up the particles with the virus
  20. Yep - the whole 'anti-vaccination' thing is a big problem. People would rather trust some clown on Facebook etc rather than doctors.
  21. They aren't even effective at stopping it, so it is a waste of money. Might help put your mind at ease - through the placebo effect, but ultimately useless. Even the N95 masks, only stop particles down to 0.3 microns - the virus is less than half that size at 0.12, so even the 'good' masks aren't...
  22. Excellent job that - very impressive!
  23. Wow - nice layout Patrick! The ferts look amazing behind that A, and the sesame seeds look great as a load of beets!

    ICRs

You took me up the wrong way - I don't have a problem with it, in fact I have one of the sets!
