  1. Just remember that you stand a chance of getting hit with duty on stuff coming in from outside the EU. Not funny that they include the cost of postage along with the cost of the item when working out the amount of duty you pay - typically 30% on top
  2. Yes please! I'd be interested to see what is out there. I know a Deutz G is available in DB colours
  3. First I've heard of it! But then I don't even know my own blood type
  4. Great news alright - he is really annoying! I think they should have changed up the format of the show more. Evans is just reading the script Clarkson would have read, and it doesn't work. I like LeBlanc, and Chris Harris is great for handling/reviewing the Super/Hypercars. My brother was showing me his reviews on Youtube a couple of years ago, and they are really professional. I like the rallycross lap rather than the old standard track lap for the stars, and it is good to have two on together.
  5. addresspal.ie from AnPost is handy too. Pickup from your local postoffice, for €3.50, but €25 if it is over 20kg or 72cm X 31cm X 25cm
  6. I recorded it, and will give it a look tonight. I wouldn't be a fan of Chris Evans either. The car shows I tend to go for a lot more are the likes of Car SOS or Wheeler Dealers, where a regular car is brought back from being in a sorry state, to full health
  7. I was thinking - will it be handed over to the RPSI for use on their diesel tours? Just like the 141/142 were repainted before handover. Either way, it's a lovely way for IE to celebrate the 40th anniversary of a classic loco.
  8. Wasn't IK used in Dublin? I can remember mid seventies deckers here in Dublin with BIK registration plates
  9. Here's the channel on youtube with Off the Beaten Track: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxEglx8PUE-zDLcEEoRTxgA
  10. If the same had been done back in the day, how many lines that were taken up would now be able to be reinstated now, and not have had housing estates or shopping centres built on them? A greenway doesn't prevent the line from being reopened years down the line, when it would have to be relaid anyway, so no bad thing IMO
  11. for this sort of thing, http://www.addresspal.ie

    Traxeditor.

Had a quick look - seems handy enough. The Bachmann 00 track codes all tally, though I don't think they have all the track listed (no Y point). Handy to not have to go installing anything, and just run in the browser. Should be easier for letting others take a look at plans & make comments too
  13. Not ebay, but Adverts - some track & a Hymek plus two coaches. For those who are into those hideous Hymek repaints! http://www.adverts.ie/toy-cars-trains-boats-planes/hornby-railway/10004592
  14. They'll go well either in pairs, or in a mixed pair with MM 141/181 - or even single! Should sell like hotcakes. Not that a 201/001 class wouldn't either!
  15. shame he is not on adverts.ie - at least there he could be 'baited' in the comments section
  16. I thought Llan is pronounced 'clan' - no?
  17. nah - a whip round for a non-Apple phone would do the trick I reckon. (Photos taken sideways so they don't appear upside down!)
  18. I went for a Hakko FX-888D soldering station - very good range of temps supported, along with a variety of tips. Price ain't bad either. You can also get them with an analogue dial for temp selection instead of the digital display if you prefer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hakko-FX-888D-Electrical-Digital-LCD-Repair-Soldering-Station-Iron-OEM-Equipment-/141849297805?hash=item2106e0838d:g:D~wAAOSwxN5WaSeT Temperature range 120° - 899°F (50° - 480°C) Digital display shows °F or °C Maintains idle temperature within 1.8°F (1°C) when set to 400 - 899°F (200 - 480°C) Ceramic heating element and sensor ensures rapid heat-up temperature and fast thermal recovery Password protected temperature setting Pre-set mode allows you to store up to five (5) pre-set temperatures Slender, lightweight ergonomic iron handles Compact design takes up less bench space Wide selection of tips available for soldering SMD and through-hole applications Use with Hakko T18 series tips ESD Safe
  19. Ah right so - just remembered Marks having a sale on Irish stuff a week or so ago, and thought the Mk2s were on it. It was Cravens I saw now I think of it
  20. Scumbag probably went and ordered more stock from Marks after you told him!
