  1. Back from the dead, thank Christ for that. I was seriously considering giving up and moving to the dark side, which meant joining the masses watching love island. I don't think I could have ever looked at myself in the mirror again if I'd have gone through with it. So thank you IRM, and welcome back online. You've been badly missed for the best part of a week.
  2. Never mind the chocolate biscuits. Look at that container terminal
  3. Going by the loco and the fact that it's carrying it's IR livery but with day-glow panels, plus there's still some Bell containers to be seen there in the mix, you're looking at mid 90s. Irish Cement branded bubbles would have been on the scene at this stage but it wouldn't have been unusual to see one or two with the CIE logo either.
  4. Ah Rich, give me some credit. I wear pull-ups nowadays. I'm a big boy now
  5. Jasus, just when you thought it couldn't get any better...
  6. Agree Rich, if you could see through the grilles it would certainly be the icing on the cake. It was always something that caught the eye when watching them in action. If not, I certainly won't be complaining. Once I get my hands on a pair of these beauties I'll be as happy as a pig in shite either way.

All seems a little too easy if you ask me.
  8. Lovely work. Always nice to see some old school modelling being posted from the workbench section.
  9. Have to agree with Popeye. Knightwing or Ratio are definitely worth a look if you don't mind some kit building. Ratio in particular have some really nice options, and you get that little bit more for your money. The Bachmann stuff is perfect for a quick fix without any hassle, but it's a tad more expensive. All depends on how much you're planning to install I suppose.
  10. Couldn't tell you Dave. It's not my house. Are you doing a bit of decorating at the moment? You were asking George last week where he had got his curtains from.
  11. Can't take credit for the weathering job gents, that was done by Anthony Smyth. I just removed the CIE logo and added the IR ones.
  12. She takes no chances nowadays Rich. Plenty of Fabreeze and newspaper left down at all times.
  13. Possibly, but I'd reckon the majority of people would prefer the option of buying individually. The cost of a double pack might put some off from buying at all. Personally I'll be taking no chances, I'll be investing in a pair and running them as a pair.
  14. 124 & 134 to start with methinks
  15. I've done it again, just soiled myself. That is just an absolute beauty.
  16. It just gets better and better with each update Noel. The attention to detail never ceases to amaze me.
  17. Personally I've probably got more than enough in the 10 that I currently have, which is a split between the IR/IE liveries. Though it never stops me from keeping my eye out for them still. Interestingly, I did notice a couple of comments with regards to the livery that wasn't included in the original run. That being the IR logo without the white band. Here's one of my Dad's 141's which I carried out a little work on. The Catchers should have been removed for it to be prototypically correct, but you get the idea. Have to admit there's something I quite like about it.
  18. Brilliant as always. Love the CAST container on the 42' flat. Reeks of the early 90's
  19. You got yourself a bargain there popeye. Nice looking model with great detail, really like it.
  20. Planned liveries and running numbers are listed on previous page. https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/3198-murphy-models-121/page/14/
  21. I think somebody has found an unopened box of christmas crackers.
  22. Delighted to see the progress myself. Good things come to those who wait Rich. As proved by Mr Murphy in the past, and again with the 121 in the near future.
  23. Spot on thump, couldn't agree more. There's one or two on here guilty of continuous whining regarding the 121 project of late (they know who they are). Yet these are the same individuals who will be first to post on here gushing over the model when it's finally released. I've said it before and I'll say it again, some people are never happy.
  24. There's always one gobshite out there that's just waiting to have the piss taken out of them. And the seller's are well aware of it. Somebody is going to get taken to the cleaners.
