  1. I think the post is pretty clear, you've basically reiterated what I was saying with a few personal desires. Think we're saying the same thing mostly.
  2. Not the worst we've seen by a long shot though Oblique view without the locos shows it a bit better but not the photo I'm thinking of in my mind, I think Refueling at Sligo after the shed went https://www.flickr.com/photos/152343870@N07/27362877118/in/photolist-orPQdK-PUVGJD-Sm4eUY-29UA489-PotiUi-23rMxTv-obRyej-HFhiom-24s1rJB-HFXU4q-9KbDLw-2iqxe16-ovnzPp-dBrXgm-Vc4zVQ-2diAcS9-UxJomv-UxJmW6-2bZqHpK-bvAmpE-UxJotz-9K8Ruv-9K8QNH-bLwwND-obKinR-os797n-oaCygP-oaCxHe-9K8Rjv-obJkCq-osWF6X-9KbEfj-oe8CRL-otAiAb-ouYKta
  3. I think there is a better shot somewhere in my faves but I cannot find it on Flickr Faves right now
  4. I wouldn't have thought that it would be viable to do a full run several models in 4 liveries for the 141/181, 9000 models as Dave says. I thought when people referred to a rerun, they were talking about maybe one new unweathered number in each livery which might give you 2000 models which is a lot to sell. If modelers wanted more they could renumber or weather to their needs. If the Chinese do not want to do less than 2k units in a run, that would potentially be problematic not just for a MM rerun but also so other niche models like JM designs may wish to do or some of the 1970s wagons such a magnesites or barytes ever seeing the light of day. Does this mean that the Chinese are saturated with injecting enough plastic for the world that they're now able to dictate what's worth their while on a bigger scale and will this bring in another workforce to undercut the Chinese just as this work previously moved to China from Europe and the Americas? EDIT: Forgot to say that then there is buyers expectations and comparisons being drawn with state of the art locos such as the upcoming A if the original tooling was used and available. Many would not want to have to fiddle with tiny switches or have to install aftermarket sugar cube speakers or remove the cab only for it not to fit back perfectly and expectations would lead to comparisons still being drawn between something designed recently and nearly 2 decades ago
  5. Reads on phone ..."Once superglue has cured, bond can only be broken with extreme forces... " The A class should be up to the task
  6. I might not be running this one in RPSI condition but I am glad to hear this as I was wondering some time ago how they RPSI was faring in our current pandemic restricted society. Nonetheless I will be ordering one to support this effort. Well done Murphy Models for supporting the RPSI !
  7. Nice job, John! I'll be needing a few
  8. No way, Dave He's actually a distant cousin. Small world.

  10. Any good? @Midland Man A pictorial and Societal History https://www.abebooks.com/first-edition/Dublin-Blessington-Steam-Tram-Cruise-Aidan/18216373335/bd
  11. No worries, I got a few of the previous ones still stuck in the bowels of some carrier somewhere
  12. If there is control and maybe a vaccine, that's a possibility but tbh I don't think there will be enough (if any) of the latter by then. There's the possibility of a second wave of virus in the autumn (but honestly it would be nice if there was enough societal common sense where I live to get the initial wave under control ...... there's not!)
  13. Too late, back out of stock , not to worry
  14. I'm still praying for lots of coaches that will run with the As and right up to the Mk2 coaches (that's myself and JHB and a few others looking at this from a different angle)
  15. Don't feel bad, George. In the western time zones, I feel like I'm always last to know even if I check in at 5am when I get up!
  16. That's pretty impressive if he did. The sand filler pipes wouldn't be a deal breaker either ways since so few people may ever have even noticed that judging by the thread here. Look ing forward to the second batch a little more but I'm probably going to get some IE also. Lots of silver green and black As on the way too though.... EDIT: Actually looked at the CADs again and since the sand fillers are on the Cad but not on the pictures of the IE locos I think we can assume they're there there for at least the Grey & yellow livery.
  17. ok, I put the Royal Mail tracking number from IRM Shopify into USPS and no update other than 'Acceptance" in UK 10 days ago. I'll sit it out and hope. I have another package (nor IRM) stuck in 'IndiaNoPlace', IN
  18. It'll be hard to return from where I am so fingers crossed. Of course they gotta turn up first ....
  19. "Oh, yes it ....." sorry, got carried away there with all that panto business
  20. How do you even know that? I have the Post Office GB tracking number on my Shopify app which gets me as fast as Peterborough. Usually there is another tracking number for the international section but I have no idea where to find it? I think USPS have dispensed with tracking altogether, a package that was delivered days ago is still "in Illinois"
  21. Unfortunately, when you divide by 76.2 (cubed) you'll find you're still waiting for your pint About 0.9 of a pint, you'll be needing to talk to the barman on that one!
  22. The link that Fran refers to above gives you a good idea of what was in what and when it changed. I expect that when they get round to it, they may have a guide on each model as to when to use each chip e.g. received 547 engine circa 197x etc.
  23. Well my keg liner is somewhere but with Royal Mail tracking it seems to have disappeared into the bowels of the earth, (or freighter or something). Undoubtedly it will resurface somewhere in the US at which point it will hopefully NOT be transferred to the US Postal service whose tracking system is equally woeful as the Royal Mail's. Shopify isn't any more helpful as it probably relies on these. 17Track is usually pretty good for most carriers but again dependent on the primary carriers tracking. I have three packages total (not from IRM) 'In Transit' somewhere around the globe. One was due today ...... Crickets.....chirp, chirp........ Bloody irritating but, anyway, hopefully they'll all turn up at some point.
