  1. =))=)) Well that should cover it for F-bombs
  2. Thanks for sorting me out with the numbers, Stephen!
  3. I think you're right. I finally got mine a few days ago and it came quickly once things were sorted. Read the READ THIS FIRST booklet tonight. Glad I did. Need to check clearances on my little test oval before running
  4. Would anyone have a picture of a Guard's emergency brake compartment that they could post please? What was the necessity of having this on the line that Noel discusses above? Thanks in advance
  5. GNER ECML colours or something along those lines?
  6. Would be interested to see the 20T flats when available too
  7. Hi John, Now you're settling back in to the Southern winter again, I was wondering what options would be available on the full width length coaches? Thanks, K
  8. Richard, I believe this is your van from the O' Dea collection GN 816x seen at Enfield in 1961. I presume she passed from GNR to CIE? http://catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000305587
  9. I hear you, IT but I'll settle for the grey for now, BnT & ST to follow!!
  10. CV 51 is for braking configuration. Bit 3 controls deactivation of ABC direction dependence. It may be that the default setting for CV51-3 is active on your Zimo but inactive on the Loksound. One will reverse away, the other not.
  11. Nice job, Eamonn. Next a van for Animal Control coming around the corner
  12. Nice video, John! Looks like the inspiration for the scene on The Polar Express!
  13. I don't have your decoder but I have a Lenz Digital Plus Silver 21+ in an 071 (I think). CV 27 is not even mentioned in my manual but most ABC control is controlled by CV51. Does changing CV 51 Bit3 (2) have any effect in resolving it?
  14. Some lovely shots were, John!
  15. You mean the left hand side? Watch hat jet lag!
  16. The window arrangement is odd and I'd bet the two sets of double windows evenly spaced from the ends are in double doors with a few additional single windows maybe also in doors. I guessing maybe a full brake/parcels or TPO? This would have been on the Dublin-London mail route I presume?
  17. Nice! looking forward to this, good luck!
  18. Some nice shots there, John. Bridge, roundhouse & trestle bridge very impressive. Love the Rockies!
  19. True, but hopefully common tooling will allow these to be reasonably priced going forward, or at least that's how I understood it. Have to agree with Noel that the Heljans are not that cheap considered the projected market. The relative strength of the dollar may be a factor as I understand the USD is the trade currency with the Chinese (assuming that's where production occurs)
  20. PM sent, Des
  21. Was the color of the fitted vans on Great Northern different, maybe a little redder than the CIE bauxite? Looks good either way !
  22. Very nice little rake, Kieran. I wasn't aware that the GN covered wagons were turned out in crimson/bauxite, which make a refreshing change, with a couple of different shades of grey to finish it off. Looks really nice!
  23. This is in a more weathered condition that on 186 but I would have to say this is 'silver' on 122, also for however long it lasted In fact, 186 may have set a trend for a short while, here's 181 & 182 together
