  1. Few years back at the fairs and at a few model railway shows
  2. Its Illegal anyway. Wonder will the VAT people ever show up again........
  3. Dont forget too, Sundeala was hard to get outside of the UK for a long time, a lot of books/magazines swore by the stuff and yet when you went to get it in Ireland it was unavailable. It depends on if the layout is to be portable or not, personally marine ply would be my preference for a portable layout as the main element
  4. Someone got a bargain anyway
  5. 2 in period - 50008 and 50019
  6. Drop Tony Mirolo a pm on here http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/member.php/1410-tonto-irl
  7. Occurred May 2014.
  8. Bit like any preserved vehicle really, plane, train, boat or automobile.........
  9. Wont know til its over either way. Well now its been posted on here its hardly going to be a bargain anymore
  10. If you are intending to bid pm the seller offering to pay postage before the auction ends as you may be refused bidding automatically otherwise
  11. Ah sure its "in perfect used condition"
  12. 'Fools and their money'
  13. Got the last 1 out of Hawkins St today - like the old days seeing the model being removed from the display case and placed into its box.
  14. Doubt whether you will hear much of this again sadly - and why pull a 3 year old thread from its slumber...........
  15. More than one bonkers collection out there - I know of one with 37 141's, 12 181's, 18 071's, 3 111's, 32 201's, 2 208's, along with 55 Cravens and eventually 72 MK2D's. At least this collector feels no need to put a crap website online to show it all off with, that anyone would care of course
  16. Yup, still stocking up on substandard material.
  17. All that money and he cant afford a decent website
  18. 225 is little more than a rolling shell now on accommodation bogies, most useable parts including the fuel tank removed
  19. 0000 Paintbrush.........
  20. You obviously have not heard of the term 'Wealthy American Tourists'. At least on a train you get constant scenery and not sea and sky for half the journey. This train will sell out
  21. Test the brake fluid by rubbing a small bit of it with a cotton bud onto the model. Its been known to dissolve certain plastics.... Also take a sharp knife to the model to remove all the mould lines..
  22. i dont care anymore
  23. Ah, that old chestnut - Next!!!
  24. I quite like that, and an easy shape to model. Could even be modelled and a mould made of it..........
  25. All the progress made and Silver Fox continues to be stuck in reverse gear. Feed the gullible and line your pocket while your at it Dont forget how upset people are re some RTR coaches being the wrong colour etc. At least they were what they were were. They were not gristle dressed as steak
