  1. Always more in the North. The MRSI one for October in Dublin is at the planning stage
  2. Some being the key word here... Good enough for some people but not good enough for me! Id say if RTR components are used in making the master mould it helps. I recall their model of D0260 'Lion', you could clearly see the lines of the Lima 47 cabs...
  3. Neither model is bang on shape wise, SSM is better but not quite there either
  4. He generally cant get many models right. As long as the gullible keep buying them and all that

    MK3 Scrapping

This site needs a like button
  6. Will wait until they are out in the wild
  7. Dont forget your clamps
  8. Had, now disconnected. Was an early experiment
  9. Was something to do with NIR taking on 3 Enterprise runs a day and the Hunslets continuing issues. EMD had no problems at all making a single locomotive and id say axles/cabs aside most parts were available off the shelf. Dont forget at the time the 111's were among the most intensively worked locomotives in the British Isles
  10. 3 years - 1981 for 111/2, 1984 for 113
  11. 111's delivered in the original light blue, 208/9 delivered in blue, all the IÉ ones delivered in the original orange livery (including 206/7)
  12. Nice to see a pricelist instead of 'pm for details'
  13. You are this time, the photo above was a service train. They always were a shared fleet
  14. Could just be the trailer that was owned by CIE, if even that..
  15. Dapol prestwin chassis once again does the job........
  16. Was expecting news on the Mk3's at Dundalk, not unrelated photos, whats this about staying on topic
  17. Make careful note of the pricing and time taken to make up the tooling....... Not cheap or quick!
  18. Will wait until Ive handled one in person before I get in any way excited. Not impressed with what Ive seen before from him
  19. Take the motor out......... Most analogue transformers will handle 2 motors on the same track easily anyway
  20. 071's are simpler, less prone to break down, cheaper to run and lighter
  21. Billed as a diecast show so Id expect nothing else. Hapes of farm dioramas too no doubt
  22. 175 is the 3rd 141 class loco to be acquired by the RPSI. All 4 small GM's are intended for mainline use eventually, but the core market is still for mammy and daddy who want a steam loco on the front of their train. Tough, but reality. Gotta maintain an income. Diesel enthusiasts do nothing but whinge and their support alone is not enough to support the RPSI
  23. I wonder will 230 be changed to 206 given 230 is now with a good chance of being withdrawn. Sure nothing 10 mins and some Railtec transfers wont sort

    071

Wouldnt be the 1st dodgy MM chip Ive seen. Also the 3-4 function chip is better for the 141's as the lights (head/marker lights) are on the same circuit, on the 071's they are separate. As regards body removal - RTFM
