201bhoy Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 It's all gone very quiet with the 201 news... I can't wait to get my 220 back after being weathered by model shop belfast! 1 Quote
BosKonay Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 There are a few more 201's due. NIR blue and older enterprise liveries I think. Quote
201bhoy Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Yea I think it's two more although I initially thought it was three more and there was going to be an enterprise livery like 207's current one... Quote

201bhoy Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Lovely videos... I love your video with 203 and the mk2s and 071 and the mk3s. Anyone know when the next 201s are coming out? Quote
waffles Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 The 201s are in the shade because of all the attention being thrown at the new 071s , give people a chance to buy the one they want and not have the panic of being the first to have one. The model is fantastic especally when compared with the original lima one or the kit from mir, remember the excitement when both of these came out, Paddy has left us spoiled for choice and that is something that we would have not been able to dream of 15 years ago. aramand Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I posted this question in the 'photo' thread of the MM201 which was probably the wrong place so I'll try here Got a new MM201 at the weekend but I notice that the wheels rub off the back of the coupling when going around even the 3rd radius (Hornby R609) curves when there are no coaches on - the couplings are spring loaded so are at their furthest back point without any load. Is this normal ? Overall its a fantastic model and I put the MM DCC chip into it also which is great. I know I should have bigger curves but limited space at the moment and lucky to be able to have this size! Quote
201bhoy Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Yeah, I think I've that problem too ,it's really annoying! Out of interest which one is it? Quote
aramand Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I got #201 - second hand but never run so effectively new : Here she is sitting with the rest of the fleet starting to expand but a long way to go to catch up with some folks on here ! BTW excuse the layout, its only temporary and actually sitting on what should be the dining room table! hence the lack of space to have bigger curves. Quote
BosKonay Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Layout looks good Aramand! Maybe stick up some shots in the layout area?! Quote
BosKonay Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 229 awaits its next duty (weathering from RetroHerbie at modelshopbelfast ) Quote

Retro Herbie Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 As with most of my Irish weathering I use Ciaran's excellent eiretrains.com website for photos to base the weathering on, absolutely brilliant resource. Heres the picture the weathered loco is based on Quote
