Glenderg Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 We're truly in the golden age of Irish Railway Modelling with quality models like these available. Stunning Dave. What materials are they made of, do mind me asking? Super job. Richie Quote
RedRich Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Beautiful Dave, I hadn't seen the 2600 model in the Commuter Livery before. Rich, Quote
201bhoy Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Those are unbelievable... if the DDs are anywhere near that standard then we're in for a treat! What's the destination on the front? Quote
David Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 Hi Richie, Cheers for the compliments. They're mainly brass running on a bachmann chassis. I have a preference for using RTR chassis' for operational reliability. Nothing worse than a great looking model that drives like sh*t! Quote
David Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 @201 Maynooth on the green and orange ones and Connolly on the silver! You can actually read it and it is in Irish as well Quote
201bhoy Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Perfect! Maynooth will fit in with where I'm modelling Quote
Tarabuses Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I received my second 2600 set from David last week, this time in silver livery. It is another excellent model and the paint finish is first class. I don't know how he did it but the curve on the green swoop on the front is perfect and couldn't be bettered by any manufacturer. Really looking forward to the De Dietrich coaches. Quote
David Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Cheers for the feedback Tony! Glad you like it Quote

jhb171achill Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 So many modern railcar models just don't look right. And you'd think it would be simple. These look simple, but can't be - because they look so good!! Excellent stuff! Quote

jhb171achill Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 So many model railcars - the "real" 2600s (AECs), 80s, etc... models never seem quite right. This one is amazing! Quote

Unfortunately not, I think they have ceased trading a while back, they were superbly built models and I am still delighted with mine. Quote
