Especially with the current scandal about the grand old Duke of York, royal connections may not be something people want to admit…

I doubt that was ever a real problem in Ancient Graeco-Roman / Persian times

Half-seriously, but do you have any royal or aristocratic ancestors?

Not that I am aware of.  My father was Indian (Parsee religion) and my mother is English of Irish descent (Buckley and Duffy) so no royal blood.

The point rodding is a prominent feature of the Magheramorne Loop so this was fitted using the Wills cosmetic point rodding kits.

The Wills rodding is nicely detailed but difficult to fit together as it relies on butt joint gluing rod ends together.  Much easier said than done…

Ok - IRM are now morally obliged to produce a WT. And an 80 class. Stunning

Wonderful modelling all round. Beautifully neat work on the rodding too. Having wrestled with those Wills kits recently, I know what's involved. I'm still trying to get all the ends to stay joined up!

I used superglue and swearing.

I remember queuing up with my Mum and sister to see the film Grease outside the Avenue Cinema in Belfast one evening in 1978, whilst these vehicles were preparing to go out on patrol in the Grand Central Hotel (requisitioned by the army) next door.

That cinema was a real flea pit.  My mum wouldn’t let us go to it again.  It was knocked down in the late 1980s along with the hotel to make way for the Castle Court Shopping Centre.

I expect that would have to be bleeped out!

It was in Cyprus, but, if it was at the same time as that video, you should be able to hear it.
