Rob R Posted Thursday at 18:29 Posted Thursday at 18:29 (edited) I was thinking it was a bit of an odd looking armoured car but fire engine fits much better. Fire pump would be a better description maybe. Edited Thursday at 18:30 by Rob R

Andy Cundick Posted Thursday at 20:28 Posted Thursday at 20:28 Certainly not a threshing machine, not sure about it being a fire engine going by my experiance of working on Merryweather and Shand Masons the basic structue is right but the wheels are too heavy and theres no boiler and pump at the back.Andy 1
cheesy_peas Posted Thursday at 20:48 Posted Thursday at 20:48 Was thinking possibly a Coast Guard wagon, but again you'd want lighter wheels when you're in a hurry. It's definitely not agricultural, some sort of specialised work cart. Perhaps council owned. 1
Colonel Posted Friday at 07:54 Posted Friday at 07:54 Has to be a water pump of some kind. The long handles pivot and notice the long jet pipe sticking up. There appears to be cylinders/pistons of some sort at the far end. Wherever it is, looks like other early fire brigade stuff in the background too.

The fire engine was offered as a suggestion of something maybe similar.

Mol_PMB Posted Friday at 10:41 Posted Friday at 10:41 "The London Clown Cricketers" (advertised on the tram). Is that the team that's been playing in Australia over the last few weeks?
Westcorkrailway Posted Friday at 10:48 Author Posted Friday at 10:48 Possibly, I understand the Cricket Club is the oldest sports team in Cork

Northroader Posted Friday at 14:40 Posted Friday at 14:40 Is the mangle on that wagon some kind of asphalt spreader, tarmac on roads sort of thing? 1
