Hi Folks,

Hope you don't mind me sticking up some info on the fair here. It was a great success last year and has given us the funding to get a few more layouts this year, We hope to have at least 7 on show all going well.

We have some different traders from last year so it is quite different from the 1st one. We try to encompass quite a braod spectrum of modelling with railway, Plastic, diecast, Boats etc. The only problem we have it the Venue is too small as we have a massive response to the fair from other traders.

Doors will be opening a bit earlier this year to alleviate the crowding we had last year.

Heres a list of the main displays that are going to be there:

Also many other private traders selling Railway, Plastic kits, Diecast, Circus etc will be on hand. Depending on the turnout I hope to be able to Donate some proceeds to the RPSI this year.

Hope to see some of you boys and girls there

Thanks

George

Here is the complete list of who there and what to expect, Check out the Facebook page for more info: https://www.facebook.com/CorkModelFair

Over all it is a mix of exhibits/ Displays and sellers trade and private so hopefully will encourage a few people to take up a new hobby or even re-energise one they had before with a bit of inspiration on what they will see.

Good show today, well done to all involved in putting it together. Top stuff lads:tumbsup:

Sorry no pics I'm afraid... left the camera at home today. Only realised it when I arrived in Cork! Did manage to pick up a few bargains tough, chuffed with the Intermodal container wagons picked up from one of the traders. Also picked up some modelling tools from RB Productions. Looking forward to giving these a go on future projects.

Good to catch up with Schalane, George and Weshty. Looking forward to getting stuck into those Oil Wagon detailing kits Des, plenty to keep busy with. Looking forward to seeing how your 42' container flats project turns out.... should be a craking model :D

All in all a good day, The amount of work to do these is unreal even for a smallish event, Lord knows how the Warley lads do it....

Leg are aching so its time to bed. I will link up some piccys when I get a moment.

Thanks for the Support Tom.

Regards

Great show yesterday George, well done. My own wallet took a fair old battering as well, but all for a good cause!!

Lima Mk3 combi pack - €75

A pair of cravens - €25 each

A bunch of signals and level crossing from Des.

A glue applicator from RB productions looks like a handy yoke for applying glue with precision.

Got a bunch of unboxed Oxford diecast 1:76 cars for a €1 each.

There was a nice punch and die set for €70 that I wish I got but a lass ran the bank dry!!

It was nice to catch up with a few of the site members Paul, Tom and Des as well. I'm already saving for next year!!!
