I may find a different way of uploading photos,as since I changed phone a number of months ago,I can't upload photos. I

Sulzer201 Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Lovely MkIII set and 121 there Eamonn, I remember them well running the Connolly-Rosslare and return service on Sundays back in the day.

Here is some video of the set on Gerrys Ballybeg. Very enjoyable video EM. Both of those mk3 sets look really well. Was that the SF RTR pack you bought? As ever videos of that wonderful layout are always a treat. Noel

As ever videos of that wonderful layout are always a treat. Noel Yes Noel,I was after the triple SF pack this ages, and bought this at the Raheny show last weekend. I often got the 10.30 ex Connolly on a Sunday morning in the 90s with a single 121 struggling with 6 coaches to Rosslare.
Noel Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Yes Noel,I was after the triple SF pack this ages, and bought this at the Raheny show last weekend. I often got the 10.30 ex Connolly on a Sunday morning in the 90s with a single 121 struggling with 6 coaches to Rosslare. It looks excellent. I can only imagine the sound of a 121 powered mk3 set threading its way through the scenic hills and valleys around Rathdrum and Arklow. 6 coaches must have been near its limit on such a hilly run. How long did it take back then to get to Rosslare?
enniscorthyman Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 After many months of trying to post photos,I have managed to upload a few. I am currently at my Mk3 PP driving trailer, which I plan to install a mk3 EGV decoder and directional lighting. I have made some cab detail and drivers desk, along with some plasticard sections. I also have a Bachmann EM80 that is in the process of a conversion to IR EM50.
Kirley Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Something I have often thought about Eamonn but never got round to it. Well done, looking forward to seeing the result and also EM 50.
enniscorthyman Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 Something I have often thought about Eamonn but never got round to it. Well done, looking forward to seeing the result and also EM 50. Just have to order some LEDs,Kieran and do some work on the seating area of the Driving trailer. As I am going to use 201- 203 as the dedicated loco,I note that the 201s did carry wing mirrors, which come with the parts bag of the MM 201s.
enniscorthyman Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 20 foot Bell on Dapol Prestwin chassis, and improved buffers from Dart castings.
Sulzer201 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Top work as usual Eamonn and I love that C in the background.
Kirley Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 It's amazing how something like correct size buffers can really make a model, I've been using both Dart Castings or Lanarkshire Models & Supplies http://www.lanarkshiremodels.com/ for some time now. Great job Eamonn!
enniscorthyman Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 Thanks for the comments. I tryed to post more photos, however my laptop won't let me for some reason. Will try again later.
enniscorthyman Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 A few weeks back,I painted the exhaust silver on 220 and 203,and a small bit of weathering.
enniscorthyman Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 Just about finished my new layout That I hope to bring to Cork this Sunday.
Noel Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Just about finished my new layout That I hope to bring to Cork this Sunday. Fabulous. Love the scenery, the figure placement, the emergency services, and the house fire.
enniscorthyman Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 Thanks Noel. I had to make it so first it would fit in my car and the attic.I kept it simple,no Station and just one track at the rear, mainly for transportation purposes.
RedRich Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 First time on tour Eamonn, best of luck with it. Rich,
DiveController Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Hi Eamonn, I just stumbled upon your video on YouTube a few minutes ago, then saw your post. Wow! Rapid progress has been made and a little cracker it is too! Very nice! Good luck in the Rebel County. K
Irishrailwayman Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Just about finished my new layout That I hope to bring to Cork this Sunday. Looks great EM and looking forward to seeing it in Cork. Pity about the burning house though - did the emergency services manage to save any of it? 1
enniscorthyman Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 Looks like some damage to the roof. The firemen did a great job.
JasonB Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Lovely job Eamonn.Nice work on the scene with the house fire:tumbsup:
Newtoncork Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Hi Eamonn, Great to talk to you in Cork. Fabulous layout and certainly attracted a lot of attention at Fort Camden. Mind you, the kids seemed to be mesmerized by the blue flashing lights!
