gm171 kk Posted May 24, 2020 Author Posted May 24, 2020 Some more photos of 143 arriving and pushing the Ferts into the yard for unloading. 10 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 6, 2020 Author Posted June 6, 2020 So I started the first section of concrete in my freight yard today. Its still drying so next weekend I will smoothen and patch it (there's a lot to do) and pour the fuel siding section. 9 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 6, 2020 Author Posted June 6, 2020 112 with the fertiliser train ready for unloading. Later seen again at the fueling point. 4 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 (edited) 192 having a rest. Edited June 12, 2020 by gm171 kk 12 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 14, 2020 Author Posted June 14, 2020 The last few shots for this weekend. River Blackwater arrives in the loop with a liner train. 192 is still sitting on the newly built fuel siding made up of a pump room, storage tanks and drains to carry away waste. I hope to get a larger tank for storage and keep the two shown for waste fuel storage. 6 Quote
Noel Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Love it. The narrow DOF on the first photo is very effective. 1 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 19, 2020 Author Posted June 19, 2020 080 feeling a bit under appreciated hailing a very light keg liner. The traffic is about to get much heavier from this week on... Meanwhile 143 works a branch service. 11 1 Quote
leslie10646 Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Brilliant progress, 171, you obviously can concentrate on the job a lot better than I can! 1 Quote
jhb171achill Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 While not normally my “era”, that whole layout just exudes atmosphere; superbly well done! It’s a good advertisement also for the wares of IRM & Mr Murphy (may their names be praised)! 1 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 20, 2020 Author Posted June 20, 2020 Thank lads! This is my first proper attempt at a layout so I'm delighted with the feedback. 6 Quote
JasonB Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Love the shot of the lads nattering in front of 080. 1 Quote

Rob Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I like the 201 class and you don't often get too many layouts with them on it, so really like the pics / vids here Quote
JasonB Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 The 201 is hogging the limelight. It's the 141 shunting the empty flats, that's the real star of the show Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 26, 2020 Author Posted June 26, 2020 To help with the 201 bias a pair of GMs were rostered onto the keg liner tonight. 7 Quote
Galteemore Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 This is very nicely done. The transition between ballast and trackside verdancy is spot on. 1 Quote

popeye Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Love the trackwork, it looks really neat and realistic and so does the grass. 1 Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) 112 heads for Belfast with a Richardson Fertiliser train. 208 later passes with a laden Platin to North Wall cement train. Edited June 28, 2020 by gm171 kk 7 Quote
David Holman Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Simple, but so very effective. Just goes to show you don't need masses of track to produce convincing scenes, though a large fiddle yard is useful to keep a parade of trains like these going! Quote
gm171 kk Posted June 29, 2020 Author Posted June 29, 2020 A few shots of my layout last weekend. Audio recorded on the real railway last week. 4 Quote
