Thanks Dave, I currently have 7 Hornby and 8 Lima 50's. Will have to kindly ask Fran if he will send me an accurascale sample or do you have to be one of those youtubers with mega likes and viewers lol...
Do something stupid like jumping off your roof in a shopping trolley while live-streaming to YouTube.
Accurascale will not only give you a loco, but will show up in person to sign your various casts.
Only have one myself, Heljan's "Courageous", but am looking forward to adding two Accurascale variants to the fleet!

Hi everyone,
There might be another bubble run in 2023! Let us know what liveries you would like to see!
- Ivory with CIE roundel (new numbers)
- Ivory with Irish Cement branding (would be same numbers again as we can only find evidence of 6!)
- Orange
- Grey
Happy to listen and take on feedback.
Cheers!
Fran
Oh my goodness, a revelation just hit me...
These are going to be O Gauge instead of OO Gauge, aren't they???
Can I stop buying Accurascale HUO's and start buying IRM Bubbles instead???
You're running out of HUO's anyway, no pack I nor pack N available.

Not sure about 20 or 30, although I wouldn't rule it out with you. Been to IKEA lately?
Something something about IKEA being in the Danger Zone if they sold reefers.
I'm not even trying any more.
Any more artwork, @Arran?
Those Manchester Liners look older than your previous release?

Rails of Sheffield are offering a massive 20% at their eBay store!
You need to enter the LEAP20 code at the checkout.
Only valid for the next three days.
No use to me because of the double-taxation, but may be of use to some on here.

The Green Bible says they were standard Sentinel products - makers numbers 6846/7. Built in 1927. Allocated to Cork and Tralee, one was tried out on the Castleisland branch, but by 1931 both were at Tralee before moving to Limerick in 1932. Here they worked the Market siding until this closed in 1940. Apparantly, they then lay out of use until withdrawn in 1948. They were numbered 280 and 281.
Have often wondered about a 7mm version as there are at least two rtr models. Moving the wheels out to 36.75mm gauge has been tried in the Chatham Club's SMR version, which has run trials on Northport Quay, but it doesn't fit either of my timescales.
I garnered something similar from Wikipedia's various pages, but we all know that Wikipedia may not always be the most reliable, so thank you for that.
They were the GSR 280 class / CIE M1 class?
Also wondering about a 7mm model as there are several available, almost always top of the "Offers" piles, but I'm not sure which of the UK models is or isn't close enough to the Irish models.

I'm a little confused by the Sentinels.
There were five variants?
Y1/1, Y1/2, Y1/3, Y1/4 and a Y3?
Which variant did the GSR have, and how did it / they end up with the GSR?

Try something like this.
@jhb171achill or @Galteemore will be on this like flies on poop, to confirm, but I think it just needs the "wings" removed, possibly some de-lining / de-badging, and happy days.

Great stuff. I must have missed this. I had decided that I've enough containers for the foreseeable, but I won't be able to resist picking up some BELL 20' Reefers.
After the DC Kits debacle, twenty or thirty Bell reefers would be a breath of fresh air!

The Bachmann Moguls appear every couple of weeks - think I posted one in the eBay watch thread a few days ago.
The UK variants are usually cheaper, and would be fairly easy to Irish-ize.
Try @WRENNEIRE and see if he has something taking up too much space in his treasure trove.

Mad where they’ve got to.. I spoke to Paddy a few months back on it and he said he just didn’t see the demand for NIR models so went with a half batch of 252 instead of the usual 504.. This is the result of them at I guess!
It's all in the name...
Murphaph Models = Murphy Models???

What about selling some of the damaged stock to a UK line, a private collector or a scrap yard?
That would both bring in cash and reduce spending on repairs.
Sometimes you have to make difficult decisions.
Do we try to save everything, spread ourselves too thinly and end up saving nothing?
Or do we do as much as we can, and try to make our efforts last as long as possible?
Before anybody responds without thinking, I've been involved with voluntary work for a long long time, and those two questions are borne from experience.

These figures never stand still and I think we have to realise that this only covers the place until the next flood, unless the powers that be are motivated to design and introduce flood prevention/diversion measures.
I wonder would flood prevention cost more, or less, than the damage from a few floods.

Wonderful that it can be documented as it happens, here on the forum, too.

So, is €3 Million the final estimate or is the tally still rising?
It would be wonderful if there was some way of boosting income, even temporarily.
What is the situation with the waterlogged ground? Is the ground itself drying out or is it still largely saturated?
The frightening possibilities of CAD and 3D printing technologies today

At the risk of opening a can of worms here, and I love opening cans of worms, the only real limits are moral and financial.
3D printing makes it very easy to copy somebody else's work without putting in the graft that they did in the first place.
This is what China has been accused of for decades, stealing technology, reverse-engineering and basically copying others work while skipping the initial set-up cost.
I assume that there is some sort of association for those who make 3D prints, with some kind of guidelines and standards, much like the NMRA etc?
