  1. Yep, just under 800 euro. Standard order for HO scale brass.
  2. Pretty standard for hand made brass. If you want quality you got to pay for it. If fact, it's on the cheap side.
  3. The new years resolution lasted less than 48 hours...
  4. Happy new year everybody!
  5. Anything SF and/or a GP35 would be of interest to myself.
  6. You can always stick them up here too. Only cost would be your time!
  7. Two CP rail SD40s arrived in West Dublin this morning well packed and in 1st class condition. Thanks Gareth! If anyone is looking to get into the dark side I would recommend picking something like these locos up. Reasonably priced, excellent condition and excellent all round locomotives.
  8. It looks like another one of us was born around the festive season. Happy birthday Pat!
  9. I wouldn't go as far as calling them anti-diesel, more that IE, insurance and possibly lack of enthusiast interest will scupper running them. As much as I would love to see a couple of Baby GMs double heading some specials personally.
  10. We can but dream but I'm reluctant to believe that we will see them active on the mainline again.
  11. The RPSI will be using the old carriage maintenance shed in Heuston apparently. Not been moved yet as far as I know.
  12. I wonder where these locos will be going now that the RPSI will be moving their coaching stock out of Inchicore?
  13. Bit late to the party. Got a Dapol 5 wagon ballast tipper set. Very nice model indeed!
  14. Cheers lads! Plenty of Santa Fe and F units in the thread, good to see! Will someone find the real Wrenn? Think he's gone soft on us!
  15. There is certainly a few 141s kicking about Inchicore. Some are being used on Pilot duties. There was one 121 too, at least until quite recently. You can spot them as you pass on the train but they do move around a bit. I don't think there's any Metrovicks around there any more, but I couldn't say for certain.
  16. You have a PM.
  17. Well use the ones that do for ideas. There's magazines, YouTube and Clubs too to explore. And there's a lot to be said for doing something original. Use your imagination.
  18. If you look at what people have posted in the layout section you'll see them. No need to be so lazy!
  19. I can't stick to anything. I even have different coasts! UP, BNSF, Santa Fe, Southern Pacific, BN, NY Central, New Haven, Pennsy, Penn Central, Conrail, NS, CSX, Chessie and CN are in the fleet off the top of my head. And don't get me started on eras.... US stuff is saved by power running through from one railroad to another and I like variety. When I do run stuff I keep it to locos that could feasibly be run together and stock to match rather than say running my NY Central 20th Century Limited next to a trio of ACes and Gevos. I do subscribe to the 'it's my railway I'll run what I like' philosophy. At the end of the day do what suits you. I'd love to be more disciplined and focused but I've resigned myself to the fact that it will never happen!
  20. Take the body off. The chip plug is on top of the chassis. Check the instructions for a guide.
  21. Run it? Why did you take the fuel tank off? Happy Christmas to one and all!
  22. Do we have to guess what's inside Noel?
  23. Q1 arrived safely today. Always wanted one but never got around to it till now. Cheers man!
  24. Hornby A4s are nice but I wouldn't be paying that for them just because they come in a slightly different box.
