  1. great stuff Patrick , the palvans interspersed among Leslie's H vans would be very realistic for that period.
  2. They had 10 in total 2972-2978 built 1958 and 2979-2981 which were converted in the late sixties from GSR coaches built 1934/36
  3. The picture is from a book called Bulleid last giant of steam by Sean Day Lewis last published 1968 its has a good section on Ireland , the picture is credited to John Glick who was like Bulleid's assistant I think.. The numbers '2' on the coach doors would have been in red, the 1429 -48 coaches were 70 seaters 3=2 seating no tables and were often called maze coaches due to the layout of the vestibule at each end.
  4. 1429-1448 laminate coach Hope this helps
  5. lovely job on the pallet cement wagons
  6. Managed to dig out a couple of pictures of the interior of the catering car 4401 mk2b from Aug 1991
  7. Above is a picture of the real 3188 at the Inchicore Works open day in June 1996 you have certainly captured the wrap around paint on the ends and the B5 bogies look the business , where did you get the extended buffers from?
  8. Fabulous link if you flick through the pictures some with railway and non railway interest .

  10. Great modelling Daryl love the wrap around ends which were a feature on these vans in IR/IE era .

  14. Thanks Jhb, your pictures are a great help upside down or not !
  15. I simply used spare numbers from a 30T van from SSM I would be delighted if someone did a sheet of these numbers 1-10 for these vans and other CIE stock and with the arrival of Leslie's H vans at some point people's can renumber them also the new ballast wagons . I also did a Ex GNR(I)covered van I am just missing me letter N as JHB mentioned in a previous post ya must never forget the N !
  16. The second batch of wagons 32021-32023 were built in the UK by Bombardier Prorail in Wakefield for STS(Bombardier Prorail) which was formerly Charles Roberts the same company that built the ESSO wagons 971-1013 in 1960's , they went out of business in 2005. The main differance in the two batches is the first batch had an underframe the second batch didnt.

  20. The fitting of multiple working took longer than that perhaps it was done as the locos were in the shops for overhauls by early 1976 only 11 of the class were fitted 122,128,125 and B132 remaining unconverted of these 125 was the last to be done in early 1978 .
  21. Were the two Inchicore sulzers 1100 and 1101 not fitted for multple working as built in 1951?
