  1. dave182 I think some of the photographs of that layout are on display in Arklow Station, or they used to be. I remember seeing them and taking a few shots of them. I will trawl through my stuff and see if I can find some of them.
  2. The three of them look brilliant.
  3. Great pics and thanks for posting - you are a lucky man to be living close to a busy railhead like Waterford.
  4. Brilliant layout, love the DMU and the weedsprayer.
  5. Apologies - hitting the brakes...looks like someone needed a break!
  6. Some great sounds and sparks from a CL 31 hitting the breaks hard. [video=youtube;Xu36H_-3874]
  7. Sincere thanks to both you for taking the time to supply such detailed information.
  8. Would anyone have an idea of the typical rolling stock used on the Dublin-Wexford services in 1966? May 1966 to be specific. Is it possible that 5 coach DMU's were being used at that time? Thanks in advance.
  9. Excellent work and maskes a huge positive difference to this loco. Love the gaurd beneath the buffer beam.
  10. Got a few shots today at Kilmacud and later, Ballymanus level crossing on DSER. Another part of rail history fading away with the abandoned crossing-keepers' cottage - think I read somewhere that this crossing in now monitored from Mallow.
  11. Congrats Dave she really does look the business.
  12. Today GM 215 River Avonmore, arrived back from Newry -thanks Anthony. GM 111 class is also back in the shed.
  13. Came across this on the 'tube' and thought it interesting. What wouldn't do to have a time-machine and a good digital camera.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2W4qP4a_bA
  14. It would appear to be a short sighted decision to pull them so quickly from service, it was part of the process of switching away from locos in favour of DMUs. For me they are so much more quiet and comfortable than the units and other stocks now covering the various links.
  15. Amazing work, that train really is stunning scahalane.
  16. Thanks from me too - those photos are wonderful and historic. It's interesting to see the extent of the damage to that 121 class loco. In contrast, the 121 derailed at Clough, Gorey in 1975, remained largely intact even after she'd rolled. Also of note is the fact that these locos (running as a single unit), were expected to haul fairly heavy trains.
  17. Well done Eamonn - great work as usual.
  18. They look fab.
  19. Great shot ttc. Wasn't there a ban on locos on the Sligo line not far out from Sligo?
  20. Yes Stephen ... and more bloody insane by the minute..me thinks.
  21. Fully agree with all the comments. The wagons are brilliant.
  22. Well done Jimbo that shed has great potential. I'd love one like it myself.
  23. Thanks lads - it will only take me another half a year to afford a sound chip! Some day I might even make it to Westy for a rake of wagons for them.
  24. Hi Jamie, Welcome - you have already got a nice bit of stuff together. Looking forward to the pics when you get your diorama once it gets started. Well done.
