DiveController Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 Relatively inexpensive, I preordered a copy on Book Depository which seems to deliver for free worldwide Quote
skinner75 Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Thanks for the heads up - I just preordered a copy there now Quote

murphaph Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 I've also ordered a copy on bookdepository.com. Does anyone know if the retailers will have the book already on the publication date and can ship immediately? Quote

Does anyone know if the retailers will have the book already on the publication date and can ship immediately? Hi Seems a moving feast. But I would have thought retailers would have stock 14 days later- allowing for wholeseller distribution , but have seen it take weeks even from the big publishers. I guess the slightly worn excuse fest of "Covbrx" will also get a dusting off and polishing ! Robert 1 Quote
Robert Shrives Posted September 29, 2021 Author Posted September 29, 2021 Tornado books in Birmingham have yet to get copies but the boss noted one wholeseller was showing sold out ! So could be popular purchase. Robert 1 Quote
murphaph Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Any news on this? My order is still showing as "awaiting publication". Same for you guys? Quote
jhb171achill Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 It used to be that once a manuscript was ready and all agreed between writer and publisher, it would take about six months at the very least before books were in shops. Now it can be turned round within weeks, once all are happy with the production. 1 1 Quote
Robert Shrives Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 Hi nothing last week in Tornado books but suggestion was sometimes months can elapse in the industry and I guess the old supply chain issues will be rolled out , but sure it will be worth the wait. Robert Quote
murphaph Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 I don't mind the wait, was really just concerned that maybe my order had slipped through the cracks as September was mentioned previously. It's all good I'm sure it'll be worth the wait too Quote
Angus Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Be careful with Bookdepoistory, they don't always stock the books they advertise. I tried to buy the recent GSWR loco book through them after they came up on a Google search offering a discount. I paid for the book only to wait and wait for it to come into stock. After a few enquiries on here it became apparent that the book was only available direct from the publishers. I challenged Bookdepository and they were adamant they were just awaiting stock. Once requested they did provide a refund though. 1 Quote

connollystn Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 That book plus the 13 new product announcements from I.R.M. for 2022 has certainly given us something to look forward to next year. Quote
