Irish Rail
IR 036 A Class stand waiting on the Docklands platform pulling Mark 2 commuter service. A custom RUC/Security Forces base for a NI scene. Fire damage from an unwelcome guest can be seen to the far left of the sentry post. A "peeler" standing at a VCP as the Tangi as it pulls into the station gates. Custom RUC Tangi I scratch built from a Defender donor. Galteemore
That’s brilliant. Those Tangis screaming along the street are the sound track to much of my childhood. They were petrol rather than diesel, for obvious speed and acceleration purposes - goodness knows what the MPG was. Strictly speaking, of course, the RUC man should have his hands up by the shoulder gussets of the flak jacket, hooked on by the thumbs That’s how I always remember them standing ! A few years ago at work, a retired British soldier who’d served in NI heard my accent and said ‘who’s this then’ and demonstrated the pose …I got it instantly ! He was ex-Royal Military Police and found the default RUC stance most amusing. Edited November 13, 2021 by Galteemore

Thanks I want to have one of the corners of my layout as a reflection on 1987 Northern Ireland with some hald relief buildings. 14 hours ago, JasonB said: It's been a while. Thanks mate good to be missed I'm currently building a new Train Room/Man Cave to move the layout out too so I have been focusing on that rather then adding to much to it ahead of the "big move" the full layout will be a 8x7 loop.
