My hatred of the narrow gauge is renowned (too slow), but I salute you @Georgeconna for this Master Class in layout-building.

In particular your patience and skill with the "knitting" which looks a job and a half.

You say you've barely visited the place, but I recommend it. I usually spend ten days in the Tirol each year - like Switzerland it has mountains - but at half the price! I stay in the same hotel in Jenbach every year, but most years barely glance at either the Achenseebahn or the Zillertal. I probably do the steam train on the Zillertal about every other year - happily the Big railway still has lots of good stuff if you look hard enough.

Keep it up, I'm sure that we are all learning from this thread.

Too Kind Leslie,

I too turned my nose up at NG for ages but perhaps I now long for a slower pace these days!

I find myself viewing quite a lot of lovely European NG railways and these really capture my interest these days.

Somehow I don't see myself getting to Austria anytime soon but hope too in the future at some stage. Maybe get Air Power Airshow in at the same time.

cheers

George.

Finally finished all the spans, hopefully it gives a good representation of the real thing, few more detail bits to be added as we go on. Kinda fulfilled a boyhood urge of doing this since I got my 1st loco in the 70's that had pantographs but of course no wires. I managed to bag that 1st ever loco at the Dublin show last year and it is pride of place in my display cabinet.

Next thing is a signal or two. Now I got these 2 OBB signals but I don't see them it any photos. I have found a website that does the actual correct outline so should I ditch those and go with the correct ones?

Lovely work George. I am pretty sure those Viessmann 4500 signals are German, not Austrian. But they also do the ÖBB ones:

Cheers Phillip, Yep, Not sure what happened but these are the ones I actually ordered.. Damn. those are German for sure. got them on a sale some months ago and should of paid a bit more attention when they arrived.

I'll probably for for the Krois model jobs as they are spot on.
