driver301 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Hi Folks, I got another little bit done on the layout recently. Although shortened up etc Platform 5 is starting to take shape. Next part I will do is the Link Building to connect Platforms 6/7 with Platform 5/4/3/2/1. The plan then is to detail the platforms under the trainshed roof & add the concourse. Quote
Weshty Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 A lovely layout and great inspiration. I like the red brick arched walls, capoby and general station frontage. Looks like a fair bit of work has gone in, and it doesn't have a "kit" look about it. After 7 years of "I'll get round to it", I should finally have my base boards in place in the next fortnight! scahalane Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Your making mighty headway looks excellent. Quote
BosKonay Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Looking fantastic and highly inspirational! Quote
jhb171achill Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I presume that like with 00, there would be British RTR locomotives suitable for even approximate conversion to NCC, GNR, CIE (RPSI?) prototypes. Quote
Sulzer201 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 She looks even more amazing with each development. Quote
ttc0169 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Your really capturing the feel of the 1990s era at an early stage-nice one Paul. Quote
driver301 Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Hi Folks, Its been a while since I last posted as progress has been very slow due to work commitments. I managed to get a bit done over the last week or so on the underpass & link building. This should be done early next week once I put the lift in so before I do that & put on the roof here are some pitcures. Quote
BosKonay Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I fell off my seat. Then picked myself up. Then remembered this is in n and fell off again!! I tip my hat to you sir. Incredible! Quote
UP6936 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 That interior is stunning! I actually had to check I had clicked the N gauge thread, I thought it was OO or bigger. This will be some layout when it's finished, keep us posted! Quote

driver301 Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Th Link building is now completed......not before time too! The canopy on Platform 5 & railings in front of the link building are next on the hitlist. Quote
Sven-E Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Thanks Paul for sharing your work. Very impressed. Looking forward to seeing it completed. Quote
ttc0169 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Great to see work progressing on Connolly station Paul-the 2800 on the down Rosslare looks well.. Quote
driver301 Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 Thanks Lads. I hopefully will have Platform 5 completed over the weekend. @UP6936 I used a farish 150 DMU as the basis for the 2800 adding sides to the unit to give it the correct shape. Quote
driver301 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I got some more done over the weekend. Platform 5 is now nearing completion. Here is a few pics showing the roofing & Canopy. Quote
driver301 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Wow what did u use for the 22000 Seanw12 I converted a farish 168 for the 22000 ICR. It is a reasonably easy conversion here is another picture of it. Quote
driver301 Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 It's been a while since I last posted an update. I've been working away on IEs HQ. Like with other parts of the model it had to be shortened etc to fit into the layouts overall size. I'm reasonably happy with the way it is looking now and I should be able to start on the other buildings on Amines Street within the next couple of weeks. Here is a couple of pictures showing progress on the HQ building. Quote
BosKonay Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Bloomin stunning!! More pics please! Quote
josefstadt Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Shiver!! Brings back memories of having to go in there every day!! Quote
