Gordon71 Posted May 18, 2013 Share Posted May 18, 2013 Added a few photos taken last Sunday the 12.5.13 of a stock movement which was NIR 450 Class railcars 8454 & 8459 which had been stored at Belfast Central Stations Parcel Bay Siding .These 2 railcar sets got hauled to Adelaide Yard Permanent Way Sidings for scrapping on the 14.513 & 15.5.13 .The sets where hauled to Adelaide Yard by NIR GM 112 + Gatwick Carriages 941 & 942. Photographs from Rosskelton early this moning so see a hauled MK IV set. MK IV DVT 4005 was declared a failure prior to the departure of the 1820 Cork - Heuston on Tuesday 20.05.13. The set required haulage back to Inchicore and this was arranged for the Wednesday morning as a 0715 Cork - Inchicore Ety. which was worked by 218. Also at Rosskelton this morning: 4006 + 222 0700 Cork - Heuston. 22019 0800 Heuston - Cork. 22032 0740 Limerick - Heuston. The aim of today was to travel over railway lines in Wales that I hadn't done before such as the Conwy Valley Line, Fflestiniog Railway and the Cambrian Coast Line. The route covered today was: Holyhead - Flint - Llandudno - Blaenau Ffestiniog - Porthmadog - Pwllheli - Machynlleth - Aberystwyth - Welshpool - Shrewsbury http://smu.gs/Z3I73T The Wanderer. GM 083 was stabled over the weekend in Mallow and today operated the train to Cobh. GM 218 is currently the standby loco in Cork and with the lack of run-round facilities at Cobh, hauled the train from Cobh to Midleton via Cork with 083 taking over again at Midleton to haul the train back to Mallow.
