K801 Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 Would love to see the up to date pics of them now, so they are owned by the RSPI? Quote

DJ Dangerous Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Are there three Mk3's at Moyasta, or just the Mk3 DVT? @gm171 kk uploaded a great video of the Mk3 move to YouTube a few years back: And @thewanderer posted some pics of the move in their own thread, here: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/3576-mk3s-to-the-west-clare-railway A few other Moyasta / West Clare Railway threads here that could maybe be combined, @BosKonay? https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/5653-west-clare-railway https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/15407-what-happened-to-the-west-clare Quote
Westcorkrailway Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 There is lots of stuff at moyasta. Off the top of my head there is A3r A15 124 152 190 Mk 3 dvt mk 3 (maybe 2) C227 (disguised as C202) bullied corrugated open wagon 30 ton break van X3 Ballast wagons plough van Inchicore fire engines. a few bord NA mona types 1 Quote
josh_ Posted Wednesday at 22:32 Posted Wednesday at 22:32 Seeing as 124, 190, 152 and a3r are now in downpatrick Whats gonna happen with jackies a15 and the old wagons? I know the mk3s are meant to be scrapped but idk who could be interested in the push/pull and the standard mk3 coach as the cafe/bar coach is gone to england Off the top my head would be either maam cross but that could be unlikely It would be nice to have it at least protected from the salty coastal air of moyasta Quote

In truth, it’s high time it did. If anyone wanted to preserve it they’d have done so long ago. As always, those who shout “Shame!” and “Pity!” loudest are the very folks who either can’t or won’t lift a finger themselves, let alone open their wallets! 2 Quote

Not owned by JW. But some spares may be obtained for 3 and 39. Mk3 driving trailer has already gone to England and is currently languishing in the RSS yard in Middlesborough while yer man ponders who he can flog it to. The other two mark 3s are destined for non-railway new homes, bless them, I hope that ends better than the other glamping place with the BR 3CIG and jumbo jet and other crap. Sadly some scrappage has already occurred, 227 is no more (don't ask) and sone 5'3" wagons are demised. I can't speak for the narrow gauge collection. 3 4 Quote
