Post the Euro prices and mention the taxes, otherwise you are misleading Irish based buyers of Irish outline, who, presumably, form the bulk of the buying contingent. Keep posting irrelevant stuff and I’ll keep laughing. €325 EURO is not a fair price! Jaysus. I posted two surplus A’s up to Dublin, paying a fortune for postage from Canarias, and import taxes on arrival, and couldn’t even sell them at €250 each to cover my costs, never mind €270 each to have made it worth my while.

Wow, that’s some split, 10/90 DC/DCC. That also explains why the DC models tend to sell out before the DCC models in most cases. Makes sense that the likes of the Class 89 and the revised Class 92 are not sold as pure DC, specially with that split. Glad that there will still be some DC models for the moment, too. Maybe I’ll go full DCC one day, but not for the foreseeable future.

I class DC modellers combined with those who wish to go their own DCC route as “DC buyers”, so probably a sizeable group.

So the big jump in price on both variants over a Class 60 is only because of the pantograph, really. And on top of that, the DC model is technically a DCC Non-Sound model rather than DC, but is configured to permit DC running. That’s pretty innovative. Is this the end of pure DC models from A/S? Will the only options be DCC Non-Sound and DCC Sound, going forward?

Great to see the Class 92 back, and great to see A/S supporting a worth cause again. Just to clarify, the DC model is £60 GBP more than a DC Class 60, because of the pantograph and associated decoder, and the DCC Sound model is £30 more than a DCC sound Class 60 because of the pantograph? I do understand that the DC model doubles up as DCC Non-Sound as the pantograph requires a decoder to operate either way.

Absolutely class, @Rob! The roof weathering on the Mk2D is particularly nice, like it spent too much time right behind the locos. Love the Mk3 photos. The first two in particular look like photos from a rolling stock book by Doyle and Hirsch. Top notch stuff.

That’s amazing! Lovely build, and a great price for a DCC ready trainset and layout! It would be particularly good for somebody who hasn’t much time or space. Thinking of some of our younger members, who are kept too busy with school or college. Uff, I sound so old! When I was your age…..

Accupido? Accurapido? Rapidoscale? RapIRMascale? IRMascido? Yeah, I have one or two and they’re grand, too. Just be handy knowledge for “one day” either way. Nearly sure that somebody here, possibly @Georgeconna, said that converting them to DCC was so unpleasant that he wouldn’t do another. Apologies if that wasn’t you, George! The old CAD trolling was great for drumming up interest and building excitement and anticipation. Also gave a chance for feedback before it was too late, on things like the British buffer spacing on the IRM Bulleid range. Might be a surprise in tooling for us, who knows? If @BosKonay doesn’t unequivocally deny that, it’s certainly a possibility, as nobody likes trolling us more than him.
