  8. Guys, I know I'm not a moderator but can we PLEASE get back on topic which is about the UG and U class. Has anyone found out if you can buy them unpainted? I would rather paint my own to keep costs down.
  9. Couple of good threads on RMweb. This one is about trade support to 21mm http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/108627-support-for-21mm-gauge/ Some superb 21mm modelling http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/107501-a-working-s-class-at-last/ http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/98951-gnr-ireland-vs-class-4-4-0-a-skritchbuild-in-4mm/ http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/80681-an-ncc-whippet/ http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/33878-the-unfinished-projects-file/?p=796787 http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/6344-the-bicycle-works/ Wonderful 21mm gauge layout http://www.templot.com/GNRI/adavoyle.htm
  10. Why not have things delivered straight to your house from the UK? Is there a law or something prohibiting this?
  11. As far as I'm aware, etch primer is supposed to go on a little runny and look awful. It is then left to dry completely overnight, without touching it. The etch primer will then etch itself into the brass and give the desired finish. On the other hand other primers usually dry on the surface and don't grip to the material. Another thing that you need to be aware of is that some etch primer can damage plastics, so always try on a test piece first.

  13. It's pretty safe to say it's for train simulator as quoted from the website "Parts may have been omitted or simplified to keep the model within acceptable limits for use within the game"
  14. Thanks guys ^^
  15. Hello everyone, It's been a while since I've updated this thread haha, this is due to a number of various personal issues but now they are done with I can get back to some modelling again however I did keep one project running in the background which was a commsion to weather 23 wagons (21 hoppers, 1 16ton and 1 brake van). I don't normally display commissions on my thread, but the owner gave me permision and i am more than happy to display them here. I weathered all of them using various enamel paints, weathering powders/pigments and washes, the desired finish was a worked one so I've varied the state of despair from wagon to wagon. I hope you enjoy the pics, Some wagons halfway through their weathering. The finshed wagons posed on the layout. Thanks Nelson
  16. Is there any price indication in the catalogue of the new train sets? I'm sure it would cost a LOT. Thanks for the pics, interesting indeed.
  17. Some one want to merge this thread with the other one?

  19. Your very welcome Patrick, The only thing I can think of when it comes to the card kits are these, but only Cultra station and a "country station" are listed. https://www.dawson-hall.com/xcart/flatpacks#pageId=1
  20. Hello Patrick, Here are the windows, they are from Bill Bedford, page 25 http://www.mousa.biz/_downloads/WinCat.pdf and the website http://www.mousa.biz/downloads/made_to_order.html Hope this helps, Nelson
  21. Post the pictures here, if it's in the new enterprise livery then it's a photoshop job, just like the poppy one and red bull one
  22. Cultra this year is 12th November, looking forward to it.
  23. Superb show! Gonna be my 5th time going, highly recommend it, boat fairs are good value for money as well.
  24. A thread over in RMweb showing what hornby had to offer at the London toy fair, some "interesting" (Q6 kit) things for sure. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/107536-hornby-at-london-toy-fair/
  25. You could always message the guy and find out... I remember when model rail took 1 model apart to look at the motor etc... And the body was full white metal, possibly cast, whereas the chassis is brass.
