murphaph Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Indeed. I already have my two full rakes of gypsums but to anyone who bought just the one rake, now's your chance to buy another (at a great discount) to model the empty train going back to Kingscourt Remember this train ran from Kingscourt to Limerick 3 times a week. 3 Quote

DJ Dangerous Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 This truly is / was an incredible sale. I had already over-indulged beforehand so couldn't dabble, but there have to have been a lot of people who were very very happy with this one! 2 Quote
Broithe Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Phew! I think I managed to 'spoil myself' at 17:59. And, my mobile hasn't had a text from the bank yet, with their traditional "Is this really you?' alert, as usually happens when i deal with IRM... 2 Quote
connollystn Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 @Broithe - Think you might have missed the boat (or train). If the guys at I.R.M. are anything like the shower I work with they'll have left a half an hour early. 1 1 Quote

I'm always reminded of a friend who lived a couple of hundred yards from a supermarket. His wife wanted to get all the Christmas stuff in stock early. He demanded that it be left to the last minute, as they would sell off the last bits to shut up early and go home. She argued, but eventually gave in, when he said we would procure the whole list himself - at a great saving. He went across on Christmas Eve, confident in proving his point. The shop was shut and in total darkness - as was everywhere else. They had sardines on toast for Christmas dinner. He is regularly reminded of this... 1 2 Quote

What you mean to say is..By the time I got the credit card off the wife, got permission to use it etc etc. Just "MAN" up and admit it, we are all in the same boat. And just to let you all know. The Gardai are absolutely useless in this situation. Said it does not come within their remit. Quote
connollystn Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 At least they saved lots of money. I'm not big into the Christmas thing, I'll be sitting down to my usual fillet steak with tasty pepper cream sauce - deeeelish. 1 Quote

DiveController Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 (edited) I even got some, the shame. Thoroughly too modern but I actually liked them when they arrived despite the yellow garishness Edited December 5, 2021 by DiveController 2 Quote
