Got caught with a UK purchase of some nice Austrian Narrow gauge stuff. When it came to paying it doubled the price to the point a new set would be the same cost. Nuts. 1 1

WRENNEIRE Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I think all the Model Railway Emporium stuff is the late Chris Dyers ex stock I went to his funeral and had to collect some bits from his home I had brought all my confirmation money to try to buy his stock but the family were arguing and I did not want to cause any further upset so I returned empty handed I made several attempts to contact them even contacting the family solicitor but failed to get a response. So I reckon its 30 years of work with him down the drain 6 2

Absolute bargain compared to that 077, although having a UK postal address definitely helps keep the price down, too.

Mol_PMB Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Here’s another 071 to watch… https://ebay.us/m/PFAMnc The tippex liveried ones seem to come up on eBay fairly frequently but the other liveries seem scarce, hence why I was pleased to bag a supertrain one. Maybe there will be another batch in future but I hope the IRM C class comes first.
Mol_PMB Posted April 6 Posted April 6 A slightly damaged but presently cheap A class, a bit of weathering would sort this out: https://ebay.us/m/83gwZ0 1

It’s most interesting and I’d love to know the story behind it. The builder clearly envisaged it as being in pre-20s form; capped chimney and green paint…. 2

Finished at over €900 for 077 in the end: https://www.ebay.es/itm/168273564287 €915 plus postage plus import charges. Now I feel a little less bad spending over €300 on my last few… Although I must consider selling them on eBay instead of here! 2
Mol_PMB Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Next up for an 071 bidding war? black and silver livery on this one: https://ebay.us/m/hvJdSl Or if you prefer a 201: https://ebay.us/m/Bq3c3L https://ebay.us/m/d6MWlo This 141 might stay at a bargain price if you’re lucky: https://ebay.us/m/R7XZKX

37058 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Was it anybody from here who got the 071 (077) last night?? If so, fair bloody play!! I went up to £600 and that was me done! A fairly new comer to the IE scene here. Come on IRM team... I only want 1 Maybe 2, if they ever get released again However, I have bought a few items from Model Railway Emporium this week. Absolutely mint 201 (203) 2 packs of IE IRM ballast hoppers and 2 packs of IRM Firts. The 071 would have been the icing on the cake, but sadly, can't win em all... On my shopping list currently is; Silver Fox Mk3 DVT, IRM ballast ploughs and an 071 (077 IE) One day... Cheers Anthony 9 hours ago, leslie10646 said: Obviously time I sold mine ....... The model is much more pristine than the real thing was when I photographed it at Westport back in the day: 2 1

I mananaged to pick up 201 210 from the Model Railway Emporium and am slowly building up a rake of the MM IE refurbished Mk2Ds regardless of the livery errors, as for the moment it'll do for now. There's so much on my wishlist I must hold off! 1
DJ Dangerous Posted Saturday at 19:12 Posted Saturday at 19:12 Two that finished at much fairer prices: https://www.ebay.es/itm/277858001699 https://www.ebay.es/itm/267629796947 €146 and €168 respectively, for a 201 and an A Class. 3
Mol_PMB Posted Sunday at 14:04 Posted Sunday at 14:04 White metal kit for a 141 class including wheels, gears, maybe motor, maybe spare bogie assemblies. Could be a bargain for someone: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/389876006028

However, the 42' flats and Kegs would have been great, if offered separately to bulk up my current rake. No, holding out for a IE Orange 071... Mind you, wasn't this livery applied circa 2003?? No no no, watch, but must not bid Cheers Anthony 1
