murphaph Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Looks like the cab is cracked and held together with selotape so it's not just a clean up it needs. Parts donor I reckon. 1
commerlad Posted June 24 Posted June 24 It has had sellotape on it but just needs cleaning off. The Roof vent wants reseating. The Cab and Control Panel putting back Correctly after being removed for some reason (probably to get to the DCC socket) and the Handrail reseating. Scroll down the picks for close ups. This is a case of a seller doing all he can to show the true state of an item (Not just a single dark blurred shot) He said not running but also not a railway modeller. But all other locos he is selling have same description of power applied but wheels do not move. So if supplied DC from a transformer was it set to move or just at 0. Also this loco is a DCC fitted loco remember. 1
Darius43 Posted Friday at 15:03 Posted Friday at 15:03 (edited) Some “interesting” 6-wheeled coaches. Look to be hand repainted French coaches - possibly Jouef/Playcraft? Cheers Darius Edit - on closer inspection you can see the printing layers, especially on the roof. Not the smoothest of prints… Edited Friday at 15:33 by Darius43

Jarl Posted Friday at 17:52 Posted Friday at 17:52 Fair play to him for having a go at hand-painting the flying snail when transfers exist. God loves a trier. 1
Mol_PMB Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Rails have just listed a load of iRM and Murphy models on eBay, including some scarcer models and some nicely-weathered stock. Worth a look. https://ebay.io/m/dKTYjF 1 2
Mol_PMB Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago More being uploaded now. I just had an expensive 'accident'...

Mol_PMB Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 2 minutes ago, WRENNEIRE said: I looked at this earlier, not many bargains Maybe so, although there are more items being uploaded as we speak. Many of the weathered items are well done, and a lot cheaper than paying for a custom weathering job on a new model. Also there are some of the scarcer models available, admittedly not so cheap. There's always the shipping and customs charges issues to consider of course, and these may appeal more to customers in GB. 1

You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment ... actually I can comment ... picked up a couple of Cravens to mix in with my Park Royals. We'll see what customs charges are involved in the next few days Edited 4 hours ago by Flying Snail 1
