Only domestic shipping.

Spoke with Customer Support today as I was in the same boat.

Makes sense, as they're kind of winding down that distribution centre.

Ah well, so I’d better stop aspiring to those last few wagons. If north west Wales is too far away, then Manchester will be well out of contention.

Ah well, I was very tempted to get a few bits as well as some wagons. I’ve had a nagging email reminding me that I’ve left things in my cart without completing the order…

Never mind, I’ll save my money and points for some other treats that I’m sure IRMAS will offer us.

We'll send out account invites this morning which will work then and then we'll migrate over any points.

Hi, can you resend the invite to my account please? Activate link didn't work in the first email

My Beet Wagon packs arrived in Worthing today so they were shipping to the UK on the day of the announcement.

Cheers

You did well then, because I can’t complete my order as England isn’t a valid destination.

No great problem, I don’t really need any more, but I would have bought some wagons and a few other bits and pieces.

Purchased last 3 buses, again couldn’t get delivery to UK. So I sent them to sister in-law in Portlaoise, still got €7 delivery charge and VAT of €11.63 @23% added on to purchase price.

If some cie flats turn up in the clear out, I'll take a pack 😉

I think I was lucky to snag the last pack of Bulleid flats a few weeks ago, they turned up out of nowhere. Full price though, as were the corrugated wagons I bought with them.

The odd thing about the current sale is that there's no GB shipping allowed, so actually I cannot buy anything from IRM at present, either via IRM or Accurascale websites. Models are selling out but I can't buy them, even at full price! I suppose it will save my bank account but I hope this won't be a long-term restriction. If only people in Ireland are allowed to model Irish Railways then the market will shrink...

Having recently weathered some for a fellow forum member and seeing how nice of a wagon they are I regret not getting some when they were available

I don’t understand why this is because I’ve had recent purchases sent to me in the UK. There must be a bug somewhere.

It’s just while changing distribution centres, I’m sure. As they’re winding down the Irish warehouse, there are less postage options available.

And, if not, you can always move to Las Canarias and model Irish railways in the sun.

I got caught with this one as I ordered 2 packs of Bullieds and also used my Rewards points but at the last step the UK destination block came up so I couldn't complete and my Rewards have gone.  Luckily I have other things including 3 Hospital Appointments in the last 10 days and 180 Irish slides/negatives to proccess to focus on.

Since it was at the end of the process that the block came up, I suggest an email to IRM explaining what happened.  My guess is that they will reinstate your Reward points for you.

I think that the points are converted to a voucher with a unique code at that step in the process of redeeming them, so they should be recoverable.

Probably a high volume of emails going through to Customer Support at the moment, but definitely email them for clarity as @Colin_McLeod says.

We have a date set to move the stock out of Dublin warehouse but with the complexities of shipping to the U.K. and other overseas markets post brexit, we couldn’t risk having returns going back to the Dublin warehouse after we have de stocked it.. You would be surprised how many returns from the U.K. we have with people either thinking the DPD VAT request was a scam, that they have already paid the VAT, or that they bought from a U.K. warehouse etc or even just forgetting to pay the Vat on time etc. This means we had to end overseas shipping before domestic Irish shipping..

For our U.K. customers, you can still pre-order via Accurascale(ICRs, Park Royal’s and Hunslets at the moment) and we will also have the usual small surplus/ cancellations stock for the Esso tanks, H vans and Grains vans in about a week or two once we have cleared the pre-orders. We will also likely have a small amount of unsold stock from our Dublin warehouse to list on Accurascale, mainly bulleid opens and the last few magnesite packs.. You never know, we might even find a few packs of bulleid flats🧐

Many thanks for the update, it’s good to understand the reasoning.

Incidentally on the IRM website I had registered to be emailed when surplus grain vans became available, but I guess that may not work if the new stock will only be listed on Accurascale. I’ve re-registered my interest on the Accurascale website too.

If my IRM and AS points get merged I might even have enough points to pay for a pack of wagons 😀

Cheers,

Mol
